About the role:
The Principal Content Experience Manager is passionate about understanding the intersection of our consumers’, healthcare customers’, and administrative customers’ needs, and the relevant, useful stories that capture their attention and motivate them to enrich their understanding of our offerings. This individual contributor must have a take-charge spirit to collaborate cross-functionally and translate business and marketing objectives into effective communication and measurable content strategies across a wide array of on- and off-line channels.
Qualified candidates are fluent in today’s digital marketing ecosystem and how to apply it to content development. Key areas include, but are not limited to, Omnichannel Marketing, Marketing Automation, Email, Programmatic Advertising, Organic and Paid Social. This individual contributor role will report to the Senior Manager – Content Experiences within the Urology Customer Experience & Activation (CE&A) team.
Candidates will be asked to provide a portfolio (content strategy, planning process, and end results/output) as part of the interview process.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Audience and Business Insight: Act as an extension of broader marketing teams, to identify key audience insights and leverage them to bridge gaps between customer expectations and business goals, ensuring alignment in messaging and strategy.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Lead with proactive engagement across core teams, the content experience team, and CE&A. Serve as a central hub and discipline expert, unifying efforts and guiding the team towards common objectives through collaborative problem-solving and strategic direction.
- Idea and Request Management: Intake new ideas, requests, and shifts in business priorities. Evaluate and prioritize these inputs, alongside Omnichannel, Digital Strategy and Project Management, to define actionable solutions.
- Work Planning: Develop sustainable, right-sized content plans that optimize resources efficiently and meet business objectives.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage insights, analytics, and data to inform strategic choices and validate business opportunities.
- Collaboration in Activation: Partner with the Project Manager to address broad-scale needs to manage complex initiatives from planning through execution. Lead foundational activities with precision, ensuring seamless coordination across various stakeholders.
- Team Alignment: Facilitate strategic alignment within the team by providing clarity on goals, objectives, and key initiatives. Guide team members through structured processes to maintain focus toward shared goals.
- Strategic Development: Synthesize complex or high-volume inputs into clear, focused strategies. Articulate plans that balance business priorities and team capabilities, ensuring effective and actionable outcomes.
- Broad Representation: Act as a representative across key disciplines, ensuring continuity in even when not present. Communicate the team’s vision, objectives, and needs to external and cross-functional partners, promoting a cohesive team narrative.
- Seamless Activation: Oversee the transition from strategy to activation, ensuring that the right team members are engaged at critical moments to optimize execution. Provide clear guidance to streamline processes and maintain momentum across stages.
- Accountability and Reporting: Establish accountability structures and regular reporting practices to keep leadership informed. Provide consistent updates and impact reports to CE&A leadership, franchise leadership, and other stakeholders, ensuring consistent transparency and visibility.
- Collaboration: Cultivate an environment of deep collaboration by bringing together cross-functional teams towards shared goals. Streamline communication to enhance team efficiency and unity.
- Team Motivation: Inspire and energize teams, fostering a culture of positivity and continuous learning. Promote best practices, embrace new capabilities, and encourage innovation to keep the team forward-thinking.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or another relevant field
- A minimum of 7 years of content strategy experience, preferably in an agency, medical device, pharmaceutical or other regulated healthcare environment
- Ability to think strategically, while also managing the details, deadlines and budgets.
- Proven experience in developing measurable content planning and executing content marketing programs aligned with customer journeys.
Prefered Qualifications:
- Independent, self-starter capable of effectively managing time and projects to meet deliverable dates.
- Experience in crafting compelling stories intended to drive engagement by physicians, consumers, or patients.
- Experience working within a global organization.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, programs and adapt to changing priorities.

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com--will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.
Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
