  • Supports the Country Finance function in order to achieve timely and accurate reporting in accordance with both local regulations (legal entity reporting) and US GAAP requirements. This position is also responsible for many of the first level entries of the accounting activities of the business unit.




  • Previous accounts payable, clerical experience or an entry level accountant with community college background
  • Detailed oriented, accurate and well organized
  • Experience with SAP system is preferred or other online A/P system
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous experience in the medical/health care industry is an asset




  • General Accounting: Recording and posting of daily accounting transactions n++ for example, collection transactions, invoices, and expense reports.
  • Taxation: Payment and calculation of all local taxes; Maintains of all substantiation records for tax.
  • Controls: Ensures all activities are completed in compliance with BSC policies and procedures.
  • Treasury: Posting and bank account reconciliations.
  • Quality: Ensures awareness and compliance with applicable standard operating procedures to meet, comply and champion all quality and regulatory commitments of Boston Scientific.

  • Knowledge: Complete knowledge of the job. Applies thorough knowledge of business concepts, procedures and practices, and a complete understanding of fundamentals in a functional area, and working knowledge of other related disciplines.
  • Cognitive Skills: Performs mostly non-routine assignments requiring basic interpretation of established procedures. Assignments require broad judgment in troubleshooting proven processes as well as the ability to suggest alternatives.
  • Supervision Received: Limited supervision. Receives no appreciable instruction on routine work and general instructions on new assignments.
  • Consequence of Errors: Errors may be difficult to detect and would normally result in loss of customer business, material, or equipment to resolve.
  • Contacts: Contacts are frequent with individuals representing other departments, and/or representing outside organizations. Contacts involve obtaining or providing information or data on matters of moderate importance to the function of the department or which may be of sensitive nature.
