About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer III to join our Advanced Technology team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering with a proven track record of designing manufacturing equipment. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with several departments to integrate new technologies to improve the company’s design and manufacturing capabilities. 

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading technology integration and knowledge transfer within the domain of responsibility. 
  • Initiates and completes technical activities leading to new or improved technology. 
  • Conduct detailed engineering assessments of new technology concepts. 
  • Leading the design and execution of structured experimental plans to drive data-based decisions. 
  • Understands engineering principles theories, concepts, practices, and techniques. 
  • Apply structured problem-solving, lean principles, and best practice process development to drive product and process improvements. 
  • Work independently and regularly handle non-routine situations. 
  • Be able to work with a high level of ambiguity. 
  • Design and introduce manufacturing processes to increase capabilities and efficiencies delivering a competitive edge to our company and our customers. 
  • Providing clear communication to stakeholders at key technical updates. 
  • Providing work direction and mentorship to technicians/entry-level engineers. 
  • Adhere to all requirements of the Quality Management System. 
  • Demonstrate company values, work with integrity, and be a supportive corporate member. 
  • Comply with the Health & Safety policies of the company and inform Management of unsafe working conditions.  
  • Occasional travelling as required. 
  • Other duties as required. 

 

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience 
  • Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and techniques.
  • Strong root cause analysis skills 
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills 
  • Solid experimental design and statistical analysis knowledge 

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Work experience in the medical device industry will be an asset.
