About the role:

We are seeking Production Team Members (Product Builder I) for a one-year contract opportunity to support the assembly and inspection of medical devices in accordance with approved manufacturing protocols. In this role, you will contribute to producing high-quality medical devices while following established procedures and quality standards.

 

Work model, sponsorship, relocation:

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows an on-site work model requiring employees to work at our Mississauga site four days per week.Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time.Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.

 

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m. ET

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Perform assembly-line production work by following written instructions and approved manufacturing protocols.
  • Operate semi-automatic and other testing equipment to help ensure product quality.
  • Inspect products at various stages of production using magnifiers or microscopes to identify visual defects.
  • Identify acceptable products and separate defective products in accordance with established procedures.
  • Collect, record and summarize inspection results accurately.
  • Perform other duties as required.

 

Required qualifications:

  • Completion of secondary school education.Ability to perform repetitive tasks requiring frequent movement of the hands, wrists, arms and shoulders.
  • Basic computer skills, including the ability to operate and navigate the manufacturing execution system (MES) used on the production line.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • English-language proficiency, including oral, reading and writing skills.
  • Basic knowledge of measuring devices, such as rulers and calipers.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and the ability to work with and manufacture small, delicate parts.

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Previous manufacturing experience.

Minimum Salary: $20/hour 

Maximum Salary: $21.20/hour 

 

The anticipated compensation and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com--will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. 

 

Compensation for hourly, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for salaried, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for sales roles is governed by Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives).
