This position is an 12-month co-op/ PEY placement beginning January 2027.
 


The Quality Systems Associate will have the opportunity to gain practical experience within a global medical device organization while supporting quality systems processes, continuous improvement initiatives, data and reporting activities, and cross-functional projects.
 

Working with the Quality Systems team, you will support key quality processes, including Nonconforming Events and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA), while helping the team identify opportunities to make processes and systems more effective and efficient. You will collaborate with Quality colleagues and cross-functional partners, support quality metrics and reporting, and gain exposure to internal and external audit activities. 

This role is well suited to an early-career professional who is curious, organized, and eager to learn. You do not need to arrive knowing every system or quality process. We are looking for someone who can learn new concepts, apply what they learn, take initiative, solve problems, and improve how work gets done. 


Work model, sponsorship, relocation:

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to work from our local office at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not provide or assume sponsorship for an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is also not available for this position at this time. 


Your responsibilities will include:
 

  • Support Quality Systems activities, including CAPA and NCEPs. 

  • Assist CAPA and NCEP owners with project coordination, including activity planning, stakeholder coordination, scheduling, follow-up, and execution. 

  • Support Quality Systems process improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness. 

  • Apply a quality-focused mindset and demonstrate a commitment to patient safety, product quality, and doing the work right the first time. 

  • Compile, analyze, and present Quality Systems data and metrics for various stakeholders and audiences. 

  • Develop and maintain reports and visualizations that communicate Quality Systems performance and trends to stakeholders and leadership. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for assigned daily work and projects. 

  • Support internal and external audit activities as needed. 

  • Be proactive, explore opportunities to improve reporting, workflows, and processes through available digital tools and automation. 

  • Learn and apply new tools, systems, and processes while proactively following up with stakeholders to move assigned work forward. 

  • Maintain compliance with Boston Scientific's Quality Policy and applicable documented quality processes and procedures. 

  • Perform other duties as required. 

 


Required qualifications:
 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or Quality Assurance 

  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems; learn new concepts, tools, and processes; and apply that knowledge to projects or assignments. 

  • Basic knowledge of data analysis and experience organizing, interpreting, or presenting data. 

  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills. 

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, follow through on assignments, and work effectively with multiple stakeholders. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. 


Preferred qualifications:
 

  • Postgraduate certificate, diploma, or degree in quality assurance, quality engineering, project management, or a related discipline. 

  • Academic, internship, or work experience related to quality assurance, quality engineering, or process improvement. 

  • Knowledge of or experience with project management, project coordination principles, or Six Sigma. 

  • Knowledge and experience working with SharePoint, Power BI, Power Apps, or similar workflow and automation tools. 

  • Academic or project experience involving AI tools, AI agents, data analytics, systems integration, or limited programming, such as Python.

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. 

 

Compensation for hourly, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for salaried, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for sales roles is governed by Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives).
