About the role:
The Quality Technician II is part of the Manufacturing Quality Team. They are responsible for first-level quality decisions and to ensure compliance with the QMS on the Production floor, with Engineering oversight.

 

This is a 1-year contract opportunity and will require the incumbent to work out of our Mississauga facility from Monday to Thursday (7 PM – 5 AM)

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Apply creativity and technical problem-solving skills to production quality issues.
  • Prepare quality documentation and test reports when required.
  • Conduct investigations related to deviations and non-conformances.
  • Learn all manufacturing controls associated with the BSC Quality Management System.
  • Decision-making authority extends to decisions within the scope of assigned work, and where supported by ample precedence or clearly defined procedures. Work is reviewed for accuracy, adequacy, and conformance to prescribed standards by Quality Engineering.
  • Participate in work planning activities with Supervisor.
  • Comply with the Health & Safety policies of the company and inform Management of unsafe working conditions.
  • Other duties as required

 

Required qualifications:

  • College Diploma in Engineering/Science discipline or extensive experience working at a similar level.
  • Demonstrated interest/Experience in the Quality, bonus points for Medical devices experience.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Organization and time management skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Adaptable to switch between tasks without compromising quality
