We are open to the successful candidate being local to our Mississauga (ON), Arden Hills (MN) or Waltham (MA) offices, operating within the hybrid work mode respectively. 

 

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to support new product development efforts on the Access Solutions team, part of the Electrophysiology division. They will drive innovation in transseptal crossing products and access sheaths; as well as therapy sheaths and wires for use in FARAPULSE Pulsed Field Ablation (PFA) cases. The successful candidate will need to develop a global understanding of current and future transseptal crossing and access market dynamics as well as an understanding of the medical devices used before and after transseptal such as guiding sheaths and catheters.

 

The role will require gathering KOL feedback, understanding market size and competitive market landscape, business inputs, and clinical needs across various geographies. The Senior Product Manager will bring a commercial voice to product development teams and develop business cases to support new product development. This person will then work closely with downstream commercial teams to advise, collaborate and support launch readiness plans in various geographies.

 

The Senior Product Manager will interact with physicians during limited market release, at Advisory Boards, Innovation Center visits, animal labs, and other KOL meetings to gather key feedback on development activities for new products and turn that feedback into action plans. They will work closely with a cross-functional team and will need to be able to manage multiple development projects in parallel, independently, with minimal supervision. 

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing marketing and strategy inputs for Access Solutions product cadence.
  • Building business cases for future product portfolio and new market opportunities including market modelling.
  • Leading Access Solutions market research efforts, including the creation, execution, readout, and recommended next steps from key customer insights. This includes qualitative and quantitative studies; Attitude, trends, and usage reports; and synthesizing data.
  • Partnering with Access Solutions, FARAPULSE, and WATCHMAN R&D and commercial teams to drive cross-franchise innovations.
  • Bringing commercial voice and leadership to product development teams, speaking for the user needs and market opportunities.
  • Tracking and understanding global competitive landscape and future pipeline, current competitive activities in different geographies and strategically responding to competitive initiatives through product iterations and/or marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborating with local commercial teams and cross-functional team members to ensure product plans and strategy will deliver overall revenue and profit objectives and work cohesively with global product strategy.
  • Creating collaborative internal and external relationships with a focus on global teams within Access Solutions, various franchises and functions within BSC as well as a focus on KOLs and clinicians.
  • Building quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all Quality Requirements.
  • Other duties as required.

 

Required qualifications:

  • Completion of undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Engineering, Science or Arts)
  • 5+ years of product management, healthcare marketing, cardiac sales, commercialization and/or engineering experience
  • Proven track record of Physician and Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and partner with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to engage and influence cross-functional colleagues, even without direct reporting relationships
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to mobilize key stakeholders and engage leadership
  • Willing and able to travel 20-30% of your time in role, including domestic and international travel

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Completion of MBA or Master of Engineering is desired
  • Work experience in the medical device industry

Maximum Salary: $158200 

 

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com--will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for hourly, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for salaried, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for sales roles is governed by Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives).
