Role Summary

The Senior Supply Chain Engineer will liaise with the broader Supply Chain team to collaborate with stakeholders within the company on technical matters and drive supply chain deliverables. They will also work as a part of product development teams to develop and execute the supply chain strategy for a variety of New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.

 

Snapshot of Responsibilities:

 

  • Participate in New Product Introduction teams as the key representative for the Supply Chain team.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Quality and Process Engineering stakeholders to identify material and capacity requirements and formulate a raw material supply strategy
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Project Management to identify requirements for product launch and ensure end-to-end supply chain readiness to support launch
  • Perform independent studies, analyses, and interpretations to generate technical conclusions and provide recommendations
  • Conducts work across the full scope of technical and documentation activities for the department
  • Conducts independent and proactive work planning, including risk mitigation strategies and contingency planning
  • Responsible for technical input into project planning
  • Independently identifies opportunities for continuous improvement projects related to all areas of supply chain and materials management
  • Independently manages complex negotiations for long-term supply contracts and major capital purchases as required
  • Provide technical, project level leadership to supply chain staff
  • Communicates with all levels of management
  • Other duties as required

 

What you bring to the team:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally in a highly regulated industry.
  • Experience working closely with product development teams, related to NPI (New Product Introduction).
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Excellent Organization and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Experience working with an ERP system.
  • Experience working with MRP systems, Rapid Response, PLM software is preferred.
  • Experience working in an ISO or Quality Management work environment.
  • Training or certification in supply chain management is preferred.
  • Change management experience and training is preferred.
