Sr. Accounting Associate

About the role:
The Senior Accounting Associate processes supplier invoices, prepares payments for suppliers and executes first stage authorization as well as performs monthly accounting activities.
 

Your responsibilities will include:
 

• Accounts payable processing (primary part of the role):
  • Manually conduct a 3-way match to compare invoice to receipt to purchase orders within the ERP system
  • Prepare batch payments in the ERP system
  • Send out remittances to suppliers post payment processing
  • Follow the standardized SOX procedures and schedule in place for the entire process
• Involvement in supporting the Invoice Automation Project Support
  • Vendor data validation and system updates
  • Collaborative work with purchasing team, buyers and suppliers
  • Payments review for team
  • Helping upload EFT, ACH, Wire payments in bank and validate the payment process
• Identify areas of weakness in the financial monitoring of the company and implement solutions to address these situations under the direction of the Corporate Controller
• Work with Accounts Payable Manager to help prepare internal/external auditors supporting documents
• Month-end closing activities such as accrual, balance sheet reconciliation etc.
• Adhere to Corporate and Quality policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Required qualifications:

• 5-7 years of experience in the field
• Proficient to MS Office
• Organization and time management skills
• Good teamwork and interpersonal skills 

Preferred qualifications:

• Accounting designation
• Experience with SAP ERP
