About the role

 

The Technical Writing Associate, Co-op/New Grad will assist in the creation and revision of complex technical writing reports and documentation. They will also participate in the full scope of technical writing activities, including editing and creating SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and templates. They will also liaise with key stakeholders within the company to drive technical writing deliverables.

 

Work mode: At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct documentation activities in compliance with quality practices and procedures.
  • Collaborate with SMEs to gather technical information as required and/or independently research available engineering information such as drawings, design reports, equipment and test specifications.
  • Edit technical content in support of product and/or process development projects including document updates, incorporating reviewer inputs, re-writing of existing material and updating of new documentation. Document activities may include fields of process, production, and maintenance.
  • Liaise cross-functionally with all business units/SMEs for technical review.
  • Prepare documents through internal Quality Management System (eQMS) and track approval process.
  • Other duties as required.

 

Required qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a degree in Engineering or Technical Writing. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Demonstrated competence as a Technical Writer or Engineer through previous Co-ops and course projects
  • Previous experience working with eQMS
  • Ability to work independently and in a group environment
  • Ability to reliably meet deadlines and project objectives

Maximum Salary: $57900 

 

The anticipated compensation and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com--will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. 

 

Compensation for hourly, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for salaried, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for sales roles is governed by Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives).
