About the role

The Endobariatric Field Clinical Specialist (FCS) provides day to day account management and clinical case support and education for Endobariatric and Closure products and accounts in the North-East of Mexico based in Monterrey or Guadalajara. Setting objectives and opportunities to drive sales growth for their product portfolio together with their peer colleagues and manager. FCS will provide guidance, training, and advice in the mentioned therapies, also assist physicians during procedures. In this role, FCS will be the first point of contact for Endobariatric and the main responsible for the development of sales of the region.

 

Key responsibilities

Clinical Support & Training

  • Educate on and support safe and effective use of products to physicians and allied health personnel.
  • Assist and guide doctors in Endobariatric and closure procedures.
  • Performs procedural training, provides clinical support and therapy development, and consequently manages clinical evaluation. Delivers excellent product in-servicing and product evaluations and ultimately secure BSC market share.
  • Educate accounts on product, data, and aftercare through in-service and ongoing training with physicians and staff.
  • Review scientific/clinical literature with customers that supports the continued use of endobariatric products.

Opportunity Identification & Market Insights

  • Identify opportunities and needs of existing endobariatric accounts including staff training, increasing product/procedure awareness, and providing clinical and aftercare support, as needed.
  • Identifies, manages, and reports the sales opportunity deriving from clinical support; consequently, supporting in clinical selling based on clinical support information provided.
  • Capture and structure information from the field producing updated market mapping and business sizing.

Account Development & Growth

  • Identify and develop new endobariatric accounts primarily through working with local sales teams. Develop, lead and manage the execution of new product launches.
  • Support revenue growth in endobariatric accounts by fostering strong customer relationships and executing all sales/marketing initiatives and programs.
  • Deliver tools and resources that will help accounts to improve the quality and integrity of patient care as well as to assist in meeting business objectives.

Sales Strategy & Business Development

  • Leads on sales opportunities and develops and implements a proactive plan that involves all supporting functions.
  • Bring innovative solutions that will help our customers address their unmet business needs for the purpose of achieving sales plan.
  • Work with Sales and Marketing leadership to develop and leverage sales/marketing resources and programs to drive growth of endobariatric products.

 

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in: Marketing, Administration, Health related.
  • M.B.A. or master's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of medical device sales
  • Be an initiative-taker/self-starter with strong time management and planning skills, have the ability to target accounts and achieve results through a daily action plan.
  • Strong leadership skills focused on collaboration (internal/external) and execution/results Understanding of business and financial terms
  • Proactivity, emotional intelligence, agility & learning communication.
  • Proficient in English
  • Strong organizational, selling, presentation and communication skills

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2+ years of bariatric surgery, plastic surgery, and/or general surgery sales and marketing experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complexity and work in an environment of change
  • Experience managing CRM software - Salesforce.
  • Experience leading and managing a team.
  • Overnight travel required: 2-3 days / week (40% - 60%)
