About the role  
The Quality System Intern works in collaboration with our Quality Systems and R&D Engineering Department to drive quality initiatives, resolve product-related issues, and ensure excellence in medical device projects.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Work in cross-functional teams to support and execute processes and quality deliverables associated with projects and quality systems.
  • Apply sound, systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving quality issues.
  • Proactively investigate, identify, and implement best-in-class quality practices.
  • Build quality into all aspects of work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management System controls.
  • Ensure completion of assigned project deliverables by set schedules.
  • Maintain cross-functional team relationships; collaborate effectively and positively with peers.

 

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering or science related field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, fluent in both written and spoken English.

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in the medical device industry.
  • Ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations based on technical inputs from multiple and varied sources.
  • Ability to work with a team efficiently and independently.
  • Working proficiency in French.
  • Work independently with minimal surveillance.

Le ou la stagiaire en qualité de conception travaille en collaboration avec notre équipe de Système de la Qualité et d’ingénierie de Recherche et Développement pour mener des initiatives de qualité, résoudre les problèmes liés aux produits et assurer l’excellence dans les projets de dispositifs médicaux.

 

Responsabilités :

  • Travailler au sein d’équipes interfonctionnelles afin de soutenir et d’exécuter les processus et les livrables qualité associée aux projets et aux systèmes de qualité.
  • Appliquer des méthodologies de résolution de problèmes rigoureuses et systématiques pour identifier, prioriser, communiquer et résoudre les enjeux de qualité.
  • Enquêter de manière proactive, identifier et mettre en œuvre des pratiques exemplaires en matière de qualité.
  • Intégrer la qualité dans tous les aspects du travail en maintenant la conformité à toutes les exigences de qualité.
  • Connaissance des contrôles du système de management de la qualité
  • Assurer l’achèvement des livrables de projet assignés selon les échéanciers établis.
  • Maintenir des relations efficaces avec les équipes interfonctionnelles et collaborer de façon positive et constructive avec les pairs.

 

Qualifications requises:

  • Baccalauréat en génie biomédical ou domaine lié aux sciences.
  • Solides compétences en résolution de problèmes dans un environnement de travail en équipe.
  • Excellentes compétences en organisation, en communication et en collaboration.
  • Excellentes compétences en rédaction et en documentation.
  • Excellentes habiletés de communication, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit, en anglais.

 

Qualifications souhaitées :

  • Plus d’un an d’expérience dans l’industrie des dispositifs médicaux.
  • Capacité de tirer des conclusions et de formuler des recommandations à partir d’apports techniques provenant de sources multiples et variées.
  • Capacité de travailler efficacement en équipe ainsi que de façon autonome.
  • Maîtrise fonctionnelle du français

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. 

 

Compensation for hourly, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for salaried, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

 

Compensation for sales roles is governed by Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives).

We also determined that the English language skills already required of other employees do not permit the performance of English language skills tasks related to Quality System Intern / stagiaire en qualité de conception position.

 

 

However, in Québec, Boston Scientific limits as much as possible the number of positions for which it requires the knowledge of another language than French. Boston Scientific solely requires proficiency in English where it is necessary for the performance of an employee’s duties.
