<span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Purpose Statement

<span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">This position works independently to assist R&D engineers, scientists, and/or teams in the development and analysis of products, materials, processes, or equipment.

<span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif"> Key Responsibilities

  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Support R&D engineers in assembling prototypes/products for testing.
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Utilize basic mechanical drawing or CAD software to inspect prototypes and fixtures.
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Execution of product/prototype testing in mechanical testing lab as per the laid down SOP/WI, Protocols.
    • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Planning of tests in case of multiple projects running simultaneously.
    • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Preparing specimens and samples.
    • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Preparing the test equipment setup.
    • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Understanding of the SOP/WI, test Protocols/Reports
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Record, interpret, analyze & compile data and sometimes interpreting results to present to senior colleagues.
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Operate and maintain test equipment as per the requirements.
    • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Preparing the equipment’s work instructions / SOPs.
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Maintain equipment’s calibration (both internal / external)
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Perform equipment qualification activities (IQ, OQ, PQ)
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Perform equipment maintenance activities in DA lab, as applicable.
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Perform equipment calibration activities in DA lab, as applicable, and review calibration results provided by external vendors.
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Assist project teams in establishing test specifications.
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Following and ensuring strict safety procedures and safety checks
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Maintain the GLP, GDP and 5S in the lab.
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Carrying out other routine tasks as assigned by the supervisor


<span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Basic Qualifications:

  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">A Degree or equivalent work experience in related discipline and 3 years of related experience.
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Good communication Skills
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Working knowledge of Microsoft software (Excel, Word)


<span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Preferred Qualifications:

  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Knowledge of testing equipment
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Knowledge of medical device assembly and manufacturing
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Manufacturing experience
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Product Development experience
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Lab experience preferred
