Your Responsibilities will include :

  • Participate on project teams to support development of system/sub-system specifications
  • Analyze system, sub-system requirements to determine testability, completeness and consistency.
  • Design test strategies, develop test objectives, and test procedures by performing in-depth requirement analysis
  • Develop system verification plans and reports to verify the system requirements
  • Develop system integration test plans and reports based on system designs and architecture
  • Perform ripple effect analysis for requirements and design level changes using technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques as they relate to system/software Testing.
  • Assess the need to automate tests and develop either manual or automated test scripts using PHP and/or C#
  • Support automated and semi-automated test execution
  • Provide traceable evidence between requirements and tests.
  • Compile data and define changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, or new testing requirements
  • Provide inputs for test equipment capabilities or new testing requirements.
  • Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of large scope and complexity.
  • Support regulatory submissions of specifications, test plans, and reports
  • Follow established standard operating procedures. 
  • Knowledge of SEIT (Systems Engineering Integration & Test) roles and functions, including  requirements management, functional analysis, interface definition, synthesis and verification
  • Knowledge of both Manual and Automated Testing Tools for Application Software as well as Embedded Systems
  • Knowledge of database concepts and able to write SQL queries.
  • Understanding of hardware design and trade-offs, embedded (real-time) software tradeoffs, performance and  redundancy issues
  • Knowledge of Software and System Architectures, Software Engineering Best Practices, and programming and scripting languages.
  • Experience using configuration management, requirements management, issue tracking systems


What we're looking for in you :

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ Years’ experience in Systems Engineering, Software Development and/or Software V&V
  • 2+ years’ experience in writing automated tests for Application Software with 2+ years’ experience programming in Scripting Languages (preferably PHP or Python).
  • Excellent knowledge of object oriented concepts and practical experience in their use.
  • Experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, DVM
  • Extensive technical knowledge of advanced testing concepts and formal Software and Systems Verification strategies for regulated Software, preferably in the Medical Device Industry.
  • Understand SW/HW systems and be able to test for the types of failure modes associated with these systems.
  • Experience in the Medical Device industry (or other regulated environment).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to positively influence individuals and groups
  • Strong problem solving skills in a team environment
