Purpose:

 

Boston Scientific is looking for an experienced functional analyst to support SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) projects within SAP Center of Excellence at the IS India Center. This person will be the primary support analyst that helps ensure appropriate, development, enhancement, documentation, and support of SAP projects and day to day support.

In addition, the person will analyze, design, document, test and deliver business systems and Information System process solutions to meet business requirements.

  • May lead multiple project activities simultaneously, working with internal and external cross-functional groups
  • Resolve technical issues including diagnosis of problem, recommendations for workarounds and defect correction
  • Analyze, design, construct, test, and implement system or application enhancements
  • Create and maintain all required technical documentation per IT methodology and processes
  • Demonstrate technical leadership by staying current on new technologies
  • Maintain collaborative working relationship with IS services (database, data center, servers, desktop, networking, security)
  • Understand customer’s business implications and incorporate understanding into technical and process improvement recommendations
  • Lead or support roll-out and implementation of SAP small and medium size initiatives
  • Lead project work stream activities, working with internal and external cross-functional groups
  • Adhere to project plans, tasks, and deliverables; identify dependencies and resource requirements
  • Appropriately communicate project status, escalate issues, and manage timelines and action items
  • Work closely with the SAP Run Team in the prioritization, testing, and deployment of system change requests and/or providing support

 

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Collaboratively perform across different work work groups and divisions towards the achievement of organizational goals

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. federal/country and regulatory requirements)
  • Lead an Agile-trained team to deliver IT solutions through all required sprints
  • Ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to by the project team and be able to be a voice of reason and authority
  • Facilitate all sprint ceremonies (daily scrums, backlog refinement, planning, retrospectives and reviews)
  • Seek continuous improvement opportunities
  • Capture team metrics and manage product backlog, track progress
  • Ensure the project team is fully functional and productive
  • Escalate status and blockers to the program level
  • Remove impediments / blockers, shield the team from external interferences, and enable collaboration across all roles
  • Escalate issues and project risks as they arise and elevate them to management
  • Be transparent with your business partners about status and develop business trust
  • Facilitate discussion and alternative approaches to challenge
  • May lead multiple project activities simultaneously, working with internal and external cross-functional groups. (Intermediate, Senior)
  • Strong functional SAP Sales & Distribution knowledge, ability to implement SAP Sales solutions.
  • Worked on 3-4 global & domestic SAP Sales implementations & rollout projects.
  • Ability to lead and execute SAP SD projects.
  • Worked on SAP SD core sales scenarios.
  • Worked on SAP cross module functional integrations & integration with external applications, Idocs, ALE, mappings etc.
  • Should have basic knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA.
  • Experience with SAP modules, primarily Sales and Distribution (SD) with some overlap in Supply (MM, PP and QM) and Finance (FI/CO).
  • Working knowledge of SAP IMG.
  • Knowledge of pricing, credit management, customer master, and other basic demand functionality required.
  • Must be proficient in SAP ECC, and understand cross-functional touch points with MM, IM, WM, and FI/CO.
  • Familiar with SAP programs/transactions to create sales orders, purchase orders, transfer orders, deliveries and billing documents preferred.
  • Work closely with the project team (internal and external) to assure a timely solution.
  • May lead multiple project activities simultaneously, working with internal and external cross-functional groups.

  • Proven ability to quickly troubleshoot issues in SAP program/transactions using a sound and logical approach to deliver a valid solution.

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 10+ years’ experience in Sales & Distribution and Logistics Execution configuration with emphasis on order processing, deliveries and shipments, and billing.
  • 4+ years’ experience managing small, medium to big system development projects.
  • Previous experience as a leading member of a large enterprise SAP development team with assignments in all phases of the software lifecycle.
  • Good Knowledge of Agile & Scrum Methodology.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter with strong, proactive work ethic.
  • Exceptional organizational & time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with people in other areas across the enterprise to accomplish desired outcomes.
  • Detailed knowledge of MS Excel's import, export and macro functions.
  • Experience with Medical Device or Life Sciences beneficial.
