Role Summary

To engage customers, deliver outstanding customer experiences and strengthen the Boston Scientific brand, the Digital Communications EMEA team designs and implements digital campaigns as part of the integrated multichannel communication programs. The team manages digital media, engagement and conversion, and digital analytics and owns the production of e-mail campaigns and the creation and maintenance of and updates to web sites, web pages, and digital assets.

The Digital Communications Specialist EMEA reports to the Digital Communications Manager EMEA and joins a passionate, collaborative, and creative team.


Main Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with cross-functional teams, design, develop, and implement high-impact integrated digital marketing assets.
  • Developing customer journeys in Salesforce Marketing Cloud for marketing communication campaigns leveraging data from Salesforce CRM (SalesCloud).
  • Developing Forms in Marketing Cloud – Cloud Pages and publishing on AEM website with SEO best practices
  • Communication of digital project status and timelines.
  • Providing technical support to Digital producers in day-to-day campaigns executions.
  • Guiding the producers from process perspective for complex campaigns executions l
  • Resolving business queries for Digital Specialists
  • Providing training to Digital team on various SFMC tools and features like Einstein, IS, Cloud Pages etc.
  • Checking the technical feasibility of functionality needs to be developed by Digital team and whether it can be delivered outside of release cycle or not.
  • Maintaining the Auto-suppression list and all master DE’s & automations to setup target audience.
  • Developing Cloud pages and modifications in existing forms
  • Checking the email metrics for a specific email send using SQL on Data views table
  • As a plus
  • Producing and publishing of website updates in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
  • Conversion of email design files to html using responsive email best practices.


Requirements and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in a field related to digital technology, IT, marketing communications or web design with a minimum of 4-6 years in a digital technology or IT role.
  • Extensive experience using Salesforce Marketing Cloud or other advanced email automation systems. Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist Certification preferred.
  • Sound knowledge of Automation Studio (SQL), Email Studio, Content Builder & Journey Builder will be a plus point.
  • Should understand personalizing emails for end customers like via amp script in Marketing Cloud.
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Dreamweaver).
  • Extensive experience working with AEM or other complex content management systems for building and maintaining websites.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, multimedia, SEO, SEM and other Internet technologies and best practices.
  • Excellent understanding of web design methods and best practices.
  • Experience building automated complex customer journeys in Marketing Cloud or similar email automation platform.
  • Showcases a proven ability to coordinate and execute on responsibilities with minimal direction.
  • Has a proven record of excellence in overseeing multiple projects and the ability to multi-task in an unstructured work environment.
  • Is a strong leader and teammate. Is punctual, reliable, flexible, and excellent at balancing multiple detail-oriented projects.
  • Possesses excellent communication skills (written, oral, and internal stakeholder facing).
  • Will be a plus Proven experience creating engaging website experiences in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or other content management system.
