Boston Scientific is looking for an experienced Functional Lead to support Supply Chain (MM WM) projects within Global IT Operations Team. This person will be the primary technical and functional owner, which includes configuration / development, enhancement, documentation, and support of MM/WM/EWM SAP projects. In addition, the person will analyze, design, document, test and deliver business systems and Information System process solutions to meet business requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead or support roll-out and implementation of new business applications and functionality specifically within the SAP MM, PP, WM/EWM, QM, and PM space.
  • Lead product work stream activities, working with internal and external cross-functional groups.
  • Work closely with the product team to assure a timely solution.
  • May lead multiple product activities simultaneously, working with internal and external cross-functional groups.
  • Resolve technical issues including diagnosis of problem, recommendations for workarounds and defect correction.
  • Analyze, design, construct, test, and implement system or application enhancements
  • Create and maintain all required technical documentation per IS methodology and Agile principles.
  • Demonstrate technical leadership by staying current on new technologies.
  • Maintain collaborative working relationship with IS services (database, data center, servers, desktop, networking, security).
  • Understand customer’s business implications and incorporate understanding into technical and process improvement recommendations.
  • Adhere to product release plans, tasks, and deliverables; identify dependencies and resource requirements.
  • Appropriately communicate impediments, escalate issues, and manage timelines and action items.
  • Work closely with the Product owner in the prioritization, testing, and deployment of system change requests and/or providing support




Management Responsibilities

  • Collaboratively work across different teams and divisions towards the achievement of organizational goals 
  • Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. federal/country and regulatory requirements)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 10+ Years of SAP MM, WM/ EWM implementation experience
  • Experience with 3-5 full life cycle implementations in SAP MM
  • Experience with 2-3 full life cycle implementations in SAP WM
  • Experience with QM, PP, and SD 2-3yrs
  • Experience on S/4 Hana is added advantage.
  • 2+ years’ experience managing small to medium system development projects
  • Strong configuration and implementation skills in the areas of SAP MM/WM
  • Experience with Forecasting, Demand Management, MRP
  • Experience with mapping all the Warehouse processes like Picking, Put-away, Packing and Shipping in SAP
  • Experience in IDoc Integration Process.
  • Expertise in MM-WM interface setup and ability to manage various scenarios.
  • Experience in handling various material staging processes  
  • Experience in cutover and data migration tool such as LSMW, LTMC
  • Understanding the integration with various SAP modules like MM, SD, MM, QM, CO, PP, PM, WM, SD and FI
  • SAP consultant skills to design and configure iDocs
  • Detailed knowledge of SAP Procurement Cycle, Inventory Management processes, hands on experience in configuration of P2P and IM processes, including Batch Management, Serialization, Product Life Cycle Management best practices 
  • Strong/current experience with supply chain process to include: STO processing, Warehouse operations and Shipment processes.
  • Intercompany/interplant shipments and Stock Transfer order processing.
  • Understanding of the Agile principles and software development methodologies
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvement opportunities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter with strong, proactive work ethic
  • Exceptional organizational & time management skills
  • Experience with Medical Device or Life Sciences beneficial
