Purpose:

Boston Scientific’s SAP Center of Excellence (CoE) has an opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst for Ariba to become a part of the winning team that defines, delivers, and supports our Enterprise’s SAP environment.  In this role you will be a key participant on a team focused on supporting and rolling out new functionalities / geographies in the SAP Ariba Cloud Source-to-Pay solution for Boston Scientific’s global organization.   The team is fully Agile and working close with our Business partners.

You will be part of the team and drive configuration, and ongoing operations of our SAP Ariba solution. The successful candidate will partner with the leadership team to deliver solutions, strategies and support for the Ariba platform through engagement with external partners and internal experts and drive technical data strategy initiatives.

 

 Key Skills & Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should possess skills and experience in design, implementation, and deployment of SAP Ariba On-Demand solutions, preferably both Upstream (Sourcing, Contracts, etc.) and Downstream (Procure to Pay, Guided Buying, Invoicing etc.)
  • Strong functional knowledge of Procurement Processes and understanding on how Ariba integrates with SAP ECC.
  • Preferred knowledge with S/4 HANA and working on Multi-ERP environment.
  • Experience with Integrations with other SAP / 3rd Party Applications like SuccessFactors, Vertex will be a plus.
  • Perform product Configuration and Customization based on Business requirements like approval flows, invoice exception rules, use of UNSPSC commodity codes etc.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in Source to Pay Processes utilizing SAP Ariba.
  • Should be able Support ARIBA project work stream activities, working with internal and external cross-functional groups.
  • Understand data needs and sources and guide the data integration aspects of the project
  • Appropriately communicate project status, escalates issues and manage timelines
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement and drive execution of improvement plan driving operational / strategic benefits.
  • Works closely with the development team (internal and external) to assure a timely solution is delivered according to the specifications and implementation needs of the business
  • Strong process background Standards/Governance/System Change Management
  • Experience partnering with external vendors and business partners on projects, including working with geographically dispersed teams
  • Exposure to Agile & Product Team Methodology will be plus.
     

 

 

Experience / Qualification                                                                                      

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of total experience in relevant technologies / workstreams
  • 3+ years of experience in Ariba
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvement opportunities
  • Self-starter with strong, proactive work ethic
  • Exceptional organizational & time management skills
  • Being a team player is key
  • Medical device, life sciences industry background preferred
