  • Develops manufacturing/test equipment and software used in the development and production of medical devices. Under limited supervisions or as member of a team: directs, develops, concepts and executes specifications, designs, plans and builds of moderately complex manufacturing and test equipment.


  • Designs and develops software programs for all new equipment and update software for existing equipment where necessary.
  • Provide full support to the Equipment Engineering group from an electronics, control, computer perspective and will be responsible for design and implementation of control systems on new equipment/machines.
  • Provide support to the manufacturing teams where necessary by way of involvement in trouble shooting in the event of a downtime problem or in continuous improvement programs (CIP). Provide necessary training on the aforementioned systems to technicians and engineers and provide advice to equipment builders/assemblers on control/wiring issues.
  • Develop machine control software and integrate this software with controllers, motion controllers, vision systems, and other instrumentation.
  • Prepare software design specifications and associated documentation for equipment and systems.
  • Provide software support to the Equipment Design, Maintenance, and Manufacturing groups.
