About the Role
The Field Clinical Specialist (FCS) provides field/remote clinical, technical and educational support to assigned accounts at a Regional and sometimes National or EMEA level. Work is driven by Customer demand and pre-planned support requirements. The primary focus is with case support and using clinical expertise to influence customer usage of the full CRM portfolio.
You will support the Boston Scientific Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) product portfolio across Central England, with a predominant focus within East Anglia and the neighboring territories. As a result, it is beneficial to be based in the East Anglia area to best clinically manage the territory.
This remote field-based role offers a permanent position and requires extensive travel (approx. four days per week in the field based on hospital needs).
Your responsibilities will include:
- Serves as primary resource for CRM clinical support in the areas of case coverage, troubleshooting and account support.
- Educates customers on the merits and proper clinical usage of our CRM products by supporting implants, assisting with troubleshooting both remotely and within follow-up clinics, providing ongoing education and training for Cardiac Physiologists and Clinicians to keep customers abreast of the latest product and technology developments and proper programming of our devices.
- Supporting CRM procedures within the cardiac catheter lab.
- Provide initial and ongoing support of the Boston Scientific CRM portfolio, as required.
- Provide commercial insights and feedback to the Account/Regional manager (as appropriate) on product usage, clinical preference and new opportunities identified or shared.
- Support the Commercial team in meeting with existing and new clinical and non-clinical customers within the hospital. Support conversation around their clinical needs, goals and aspirations for their service, and barriers faced related to delivering service excellence and optimal patient care. Discuss and demonstrate how the Boston Scientific CRM portfolio can help them to achieve their strategic and clinical service goals.
- Develop relationships with clinical stakeholders within the hospitals (e.g., through casual conversation, meetings, participation in conferences). Seek out and record any new contacts made within hospitals and identify and share with the commercial account management team any new key decision makers that may facilitate future sales.
- Respond to customer needs and complaints promptly regarding products and service. Sharing key information with the Account/Regional Manager and/or wider support functions as required.
- In this role, you will be responsible for delivering clinical support across the Central England region, primarily covering East Anglia and the surrounding areas.
- You may on occasion be required to clinically support colleagues in neighbouring regions and at a national level.
- This remote field-based role requires extensive travel (approx. four days per week) within the assigned region.
What are we looking for in you:
- Successfully completed qualification within clinical physiology specialising in cardiology, or equivalent professional experience.
- Professional experience in a clinical role within hospitals or industry, preferably within CRM.
- Strong communication skills.
- Can understand and communicate complex technical and clinical details.
- Can rapidly adapt to a very dynamic marketplace.
- Strong team player, collaborative, can build relationships and work cross-functionally.
- Self-motivated and can influence others.
- Flexible, adaptable, focused and consistent.
- Willing and can travel extensively as required by workload, which may include occasional overnight stays.
