About the Role:
The Field Technician II will act as interface to patients to perform service-related activities (Troubleshooting, Warranty Decisions, Complaint Handling, Sales Orders, RGA’s, event registration, candidate requests, etc.). Accountable for complying with all Regulatory requirements with respect to complaint handling and maintaining the accuracy of the data within BSC business systems.
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Reporting of field activities
- Electronic troubleshooting and component replacement
- In-servicing/training medical personnel
- Preventative and corrective maintenance
- Reporting all other complaints regarding products and documenting in complaint handling system for follow-up
- Equipment upgrades
- System installation
- Perform other related duties as assigned, including special projects.
What We’re Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
- Two-year college degree (AA) preferred with a Biomedical or electronics major (equivalent education accepted)
- Able to work independently and responsibly with some supervision & manage multiple assignments effectively.
- Excellent computer networking, equipment troubleshooting, administrative and communication skills.
- Familiar with all standard electronic test equipment, including Digital Multi-Meters and safety analyzers.
- 2+ years experience required in field service equipment, 2+ years experience preferred in medical equipment.
- Ability to travel approximately 75% of the time.
- Ability to travel at a moment’s notice and for multiple days without constraints.
- Have a vehicle for service five years or newer and meet insurance requirements for business.
- Have a clean driving record.
- Ability to occasionally lift heavy items up to 75lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior Technical Field Service, Biomedical, or Military technical MOS
- Electrophysiology, Laser, Medical Imaging, or Cath Lab technical/Clinical experience
