About the role:


We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting & Financial Analyst (CPA required) to be part of our finance team with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have experience with full month end close, audit current processes, develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), analyze sales data, and contribute to budgeting and forecasting initiatives.  This role will also focus on financial analysis, process improvement, automation, and AI-driven reporting.

 

Please note that this is a 1-year contract role with a strong possibility of extension.

 

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Your responsibilities will include:


Accounting & Month-End Close

  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end close activities.
  • Prepare and post financial journal entries in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Perform account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues.
  • Compile and submit the month-end reporting package to management.

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze financial and sales data to provide actionable insights.
  • Develop and improve the budget and forecast template, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Assist in financial modeling and long-term planning.
  • Identify key trends and variances in financial performance.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Audit current accounting and reporting processes, identifying inefficiencies.
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to streamline workflows.
  • Utilize AI tools and automation (Excel VBA, Power BI, RPA) to improve financial reporting.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency in finance operations.

 

Required qualifications:

 

  • CPA designation required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, and process improvement.
  • Expert Excel skills (PivotTables, Power Query, Power BI).
  • Experience with AI tools and automation in financial reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or similar).

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for hourly, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for salaried, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for sales roles is governed by Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives).
