About the role:

The Peripheral Interventions Field Clinical Specialist is a clinically oriented entrepreneurial ambassador for Boston Scientific's innovative portfolio of minimally invasive therapies. As part of the commercial field team, this role will execute clinical support and therapy adoption initiatives by providing specialized procedural expertise, clinical education, and hands-on physician and healthcare professional training. This individual is a trusted clinical partner and educator who drives safe therapy adoption, superior patient outcomes, and clinical excellence through expert knowledge of Boston Scientific's Vascular & Interventional Oncology portfolio. The Field Clinical Specialist practices exceptional clinical acumen and relationship management with physicians and healthcare professionals and serves as a clinical role model across the Puerto Rico Peripheral Interventions team.

Your responsibilities will include:

● Provide in-person technical and clinical support for Peripheral Interventions (Vascular & Interventional Oncology) procedures, ensuring safe device utilization, procedural success, and superior patient outcomes.

● Educate physicians, healthcare professionals and procedure teams on patient selection, therapy indications, procedural best practices, and the appropriate use of Boston Scientific technologies.

● Plan and deliver physician and customer education through training, in-services, workshops, and clinical presentations, while supporting product development initiatives and maintaining the highest standards of clinical and professional conduct.

● Ensure effective territory coverage by coordinating case schedules, providing responsive clinical support, and building strong partnerships across assigned accounts.

● Develop and maintain comprehensive clinical and technical product knowledge. Understands current published and relevant literature. Recognize and understand competitive products, industry trends, and the Boston Scientific portfolio, serving as a trusted technical resource for customers and internal teams.

● Manage inventory, submit expense reports, and report product performance concerns in compliance with Quality System requirements.

● Partner with Boston Scientific Sales and leadership to provide clinical expertise, customer insights, and competitive intelligence that support account strategies and territory growth.

● Some evening trade show, weekend and/or off-hour physician meeting participation may be required.

 

Required qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree or other relevant education.

● Minimum of 3+ years of clinical, medical device, or related experience in the operating room or hospital environment.

● Fully bilingual (English/Spanish).

● Prior experience supporting vascular, cardiovascular, or neurosurgical procedures in the OR (Operating Room) is highly valuable.

● Demonstrated ability to absorb technical knowledge quickly and disseminate appropriately to all levels of healthcare professionals.

● Comfortable learning and using clinical technologies, imaging systems and digital tools.

● Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.

● Proficiency in managing and organizing daily schedules, appointments, and follow-ups.

● Strong customer focus with the ability to build, maintain, and strengthen trusted relationships with healthcare professionals.

● Self-starter, team player, with proven leadership qualities and strong execution.

● Possess the ability to determine and set direction within the territory.

● Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.

● Energetic, enthusiastic, determined, and goal-oriented.

● Excels in a fast-paced, competitive environment.

Preferred qualifications:

● Knowledge of imaging modalities (duplex ultrasound/catheter angiography/CTA, MRA), EKG, procedural hemodynamics, heart rate, blood pressure, and ancillary procedural solutions

● A strategic mindset for identifying new market opportunities.

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey product information, articulate value propositions, and build rapport with healthcare professionals

● Ability to comprehend complex medical device technologies and explain them in a clear and concise manner to diverse audiences

● Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, key opinion leaders, and decision-makers

● Flexibility to navigate a dynamic sales environment, adapt to changing market conditions, and overcome challenges

The anticipated annualized base amount or range for this full time position will be $41,200 to $78,300, plus variable compensation governed by the Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives) as well as the value of core and optional benefits offered at BSC, which can be reviewed at www.bscbenefitsconnect.com. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs.
