Purpose Statement

Analyzes, specifies, designs, documents, tests and delivers business systems and Information System process solutions to meet business requirements.

 

Responsibilities

  • Creation and updating of MES (Manufacturing Execution System) objects – Workflows, Resources, Product Spec, Task List and etc.
  • End user support & troubleshooting (Eg: Mfg Applications : MES – SAP – Training System – Equipment Maintenance/Calibration System, Reporting, Transaction analysis, Inventory analysis and etc).
  • Defines and re-engineers manufacturing applications processes by using appropriate methods and tools and partnering with process owners to understand requirements.
  • Improve application/system efficiency and makes recommendations for implementation of new systems or necessary upgrades that will best meet customer and company requirements.
  • Participation in cross functional teams (Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Production) to articulate site requirements, co-ordinate site testing (user acceptance test, system simulation test) and documentation.
  • Creates and provides training & quality training material for user assistance and system usage.
  • Resolves repeated issues related to manufacturing applications or processes by working with systems or process owners and project teams to find acceptable permanent solutions.
  • May lead multiple project activities simultaneously, working with internal and external cross-functional groups.

  • Discretion/Latitude; Supervision Received; Decision Making: Works under general direction regarding the progress of projects and special assignments. May seek guidance in resolving problems, interpretating established policies, procedures and practices. Work is reviewed for soundness of judgment.
  • Business Relationships and Project Management: Cultivates a wide range of internal business relationships and begins to develop an external network of resources to facilitate completion of tasks. May lead a project team of small to moderate scope. Influence exerted at peer level and occasionally at first levels of management.
  • Impact: Contributes to the completion of departmental projects and goals. Errors in judgment, poor recommendations, or failure to achieve results would normally require a moderate expenditure of resources to rectify.
  • Liaison : Engages with internal company and external contacts. Represents organization on specific projects.  Uses diplomacy and tact in interactions and problem solving.
  • Mentoring: Provides guidance to less experienced staff.
