Purpose Statement

<span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Drives business execution of new programs and initiatives that include promotional activities, forecast and coordination for key events, and new product launches. Analyzes, develops, and implements long-term supply chain strategies, including inventory management and networks, that address capacity issues in support of business goals. Monitors key sales and operations planning performance indicators, cost-to-serve performance data, and coordinates cross-functional work teams to increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives


Roles & Responsibilities

  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Computer and Systems Knowledge: Possesses basic understanding of Microsoft suite, with proficiency in Excel. Also possesses basic understanding of BSC ERP and planning systems. Uses the planning system daily to perform demand planning activities.
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Data Analytics: Possesses the ability to conduct basic analytics on business problems and datasets.  Produces, retrieves and interprets reports using standard systems and tools
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Inventory Management: Daily monitoring of inventory levels for products in their portfolio.  Recommends inputs to inventory targets and maintain in system.  Manages inventory to plan and allocates product in short supply situations.  Communicates supply updates to marketing and regional planners.
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Manage Forecast Inputs / Improve Forecast Accuracy: Works directly with marketing, sales operations, and regional planners to set the forecast to meet global demand for stable portfolios, less complex supply chains.   Improve forecast accuracy and reduce forecast bias.
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Facilitate / support SI&OP process: Facilitates cross-functional SI&OP Demand Planning and Net Requirements meetings.  Works with global peers to ensure complete net requirements are being captured for products in their portfolio. Collaborates with supply sites/SFMD’s for Supply Management and escalation to Integration & Reconciliation.
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Launch products effectively: Understands the objectives of the new product launch. Prepares and maintains pre-launch and post-launch SI&OP templates. Ensures sufficient inventory per launch plan. Communicates launch tracking materials to cross functional SI&OP team.   Recommends changes to inventory strategy when needed. Escalate issues through SI&OP process. Represents supply chain on product development team.
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Partnership with Clinical Supply Chain: Partners with Clinical Supply Chain to gain general knowledge on clinical study inventory needs.  Includes clinical study demand in overall demand forecast.
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Master Data Maintenance: Ensures GSCP-owned fields are complete and accurate for the products in their portfolio.  Remain current on training for SOP’s and Work Instructions regarding ERP and planning system master data.
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Project Management: Develops and documents project plans.  Gain an understanding of dependencies and sequence of events.  Executes required monthly/scheduled tasks with some oversight.  May lead a project team of small to moderate scope.  Escalates issues to management.
