Business Systems Analyst II, APAC Supply Chain

Purpose Statement:
The Business System Analyst role will provide day-to-day operational support for SAP and an in-house Order-to-Cash (OTC) application, ensuring stability, quality, and continuous improvement of business processes. The role includes incident management, system enhancements, testing, data reporting & analytics, and stakeholder management across APAC. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across IT and business teams in a fast-paced supply chain environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operation Support
- Provide day‑to‑day operational support for SAP and the in‑house Order‑to‑Cash (OTC) application across the APAC supply chain, ensuring system stability and timely issue resolution.
- Handle user inquiries, troubleshoot system and process issues, and coordinate with technical teams or vendors for escalation and resolution when required.
- Perform routine monitoring of system jobs, integrations, and data flows; identify exceptions and drive timely corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, compliance standards, and documentation requirements for system access, changes, and operational activities.
- Collaborate with functional teams, regional business users, and IT partners to address operational issues and continuously improve process efficiency.
- Audit Support: Prepare and provide system reports, transaction evidence, and data extracts; support segregation‑of‑duties reviews; respond to audit inquiries and ensure documentation readiness.
- Year‑End Activities: Contribute to system and data clean‑up efforts, conduct analysis to identify inconsistencies, and support required activities for annual operational closure.
- System Analysis and Design
- Work with business and process owners to gather, understand, and document business requirements.
- Support feasibility reviews and assist in solution prototyping together with IT partners.
- Contribute to the design and improvement of business system solutions and processes under guidance from senior analysts.
- Participate in reviewing IT solution designs to ensure they meet business needs and provide good user experience.
- End to End Solution Support
- Assist in delivering system enhancements and small-scale solutions, including reviewing designs, performing testing, coordinating user training, and supporting cutover/go‑live activities.
- Collaborate closely with internal and external development teams to ensure solutions are delivered according to requirements and timelines.
- Develop and execute test plans and test cases to validate system functionality and quality.
- Prepare user guides, training materials, and documentation to support effective system usage.
- Help resolve issues related to implemented systems or processes by working with users, process owners, and IT teams to identify workable solutions.
- Contribute to clear documentation and presentations that help communicate system design, processes, and recommended improvements.
- Business Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to enhance business processes and recommend improvements or system changes that increase efficiency and consistency.
- Support efforts to harmonize processes and system usage across regions and functions.
- Documentation & Collaboration
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, functional processes, workflows, and procedures.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, internal IT teams, and external vendors to ensure smooth system changes, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Participate in or support multiple project activities simultaneously, working collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience as an SAP Business Systems Analyst or in a similar application support role.
- Working knowledge of SAP modules such as SD, MM, WM, or related functional areas.
- Experience in data and analytics reporting tools is an added advantage.
- Solid understanding of incident, problem, and change management processes (e.g., ITIL practices).
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into effective system solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Project management experience is beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross‑functional, matrixed, and culturally diverse environment.
- Comfortable collaborating with teams across different time zones and within a globally distributed workforce.
