Purpose Statement
We are seeking a Digital Business Systems Manager to lead our plant-wide digital transformation initiatives, with a focus on manufacturing systems, data analytics, and process automation. This role will oversee the integration of MES, SAP, RPA, and data architecture, ensuring the seamless functioning of our business systems and driving improvements in efficiency, data accuracy, and regulatory compliance. As a key partner to our global team, the manager will provide leadership on both traditional business systems and innovative digital technologies, advancing our smart manufacturing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute digital transformation initiatives across the plant, with a focus on integrating MES, SAP, and RPA into daily operations.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of databases, ensuring they are integrated, scalable, and support plant-wide data analysis.
- Act as the primary liaison between plant personnel and global IT teams to define requirements, prioritize projects, and implement system enhancements, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of new tools, reports, and functionalities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment between business systems and operations, quality, and supply chain functions, supporting the overall goals of the plant and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Build dashboards and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to deliver actionable insights that support operational decision-making and improve efficiency.
- Drive automation initiatives through RPA, custom application development, and low-code platforms like PowerApps, reducing manual processes and improving accuracy.
- Develop and administer technical skill assessments and training programs to ensure plant personnel are proficient with systems (SAP, MES, Power BI, etc.).
- Manage system performance, ensuring uptime, issue resolution, and continuous improvement of digital systems, particularly in the medical device manufacturing environment.
- Ensure all operational, procedural, and regulatory requirements are met, including compliance with ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR Part 820.
- Lead digital transformation projects, ensuring delivery on-time and within budget, while managing competing priorities and resources.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Strong expertise in MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), SAP, Power BI/Tableau, and RPA.
- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., C#, .Net, HTML, JavaScript) and low-code platforms like PowerApps.
- Demonstrated experience in digital transformation, particularly within Industry 4.0, including automation, data analytics, and machine connectivity.
- Familiarity with data architecture, including database management, reporting tools, and automation technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with global teams.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance in medical device manufacturing, including ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR Part 820.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive system integration efforts.
Key Skills:
