Calibration & Service Material Specialist, APAC

Purpose Statement:

To engineer and implement highly capable & effective Calibrations processes & systems to meet that result in optimum field service performance. 

This role are also responsible for the planning, procurement, oversight, documentation, and issue resolution of service materials to support field operation and repair center such as  - tools, test and measurement equipment, component and parts and receiving of repaired systems FRUs and service disposables. Analyzing Region needs for service materials and reporting out to management    

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Maintains the Calibration Management System (CMS). 
  • Create and maintain calibration work orders and track and trend equipment due and overdue. 
  • Maintains calibration investigation forms and works closely with equipment owners and coordinators to ensure prompt closure. 
  • Serves as a point of contact for internal customers (Value Streams, New Product and Project teams as necessary on calibration related requirements). 
  • Prepares, maintains and distributes calibration reports/metrics. 
  • Provides input to Equipment Suitability & Selection as needed from a Calibration management perspective. 
  • Interacts with internal and external customers, by meeting regularly, responding to requests and explaining procedures & system requirements. 
  • Manages all Purchase Orders & invoicing for external Calibration suppliers & customers. 
  • Troubleshoots and solves problems requiring interpretation of procedures and practices.  Creates or updates documentation as needed to resolve issues. 
  • Applies knowledge of technical concepts, from basic to complex, towards the resolution of manufacturing and/or research and development calibration tasks. 
  • Works with Region Technical and country team to ensure all service materials are available per service planning needs. 
  • Supports FSEAI (Field Service Engineer Assigned Inventory) replenishment, cycle counts, reconciliation and corrections that are resulting out of these activities 
  • Performs issue resolution related to calibration through NCEP / CAPA system and drives improvement through VIP system 

Requirements:

  • Candidate required to process at least degree in Bachelor of Physics/Instrumentation/Controls or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Candidate with at least 1-3 years relevant previous experience in a Calibration Team will be preferable.
  • Attention to detail and manage tasks completion. 
  • Good Communication skills (Reporting on Monthly Metrics/Representing in Audits).
  • Influencing & Negotiation (Vendors and Internal Customers). 
  • Problem Solving & Decision Making (Technical support to Cal Techs)
