  • As part of Global Enterprise Excellence team, this role is responsible for supporting the Asia-Pacific Region to improve business processes and strategic value improvement to achieve Boston Scientific’s operating income goals. The APAC Region includes China, Japan, India, Korea, Australia & New Zealand, ASEAN: Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, Brunei and Guam.




  • Creates a robust Value Improvement Program (VIP) strategy, in partnership with Region PMO; works with business leaders to identify and prioritize strategic improvement initiatives that achieve Boston Scientific’s operating income goals.
  • Drives continual adoption of the Value Improvement Program among employees at all levels and serves as Value Improvement Program expert for region.
  • Proactively connects with key stakeholders on their plans, targets, and support needs. Surfaces new ideas and ignites Value Improvement throughout Region while influencing leaders and teams to deliver on plans.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders to develop change management strategies and tactics, enabling change over the longer term.
  • Leads monthly and quarterly business analysis on the Value Improvement Program and develop communication tactics to keep VIP front-facing across Region.
  • Provide Regional VIP guidance with consistent application across the enterprise; partner with VIP system owners to improve and simplify tracking and reporting.
  • Project manages, leads, facilitates, and guides Lean business techniques for Region resources and programs aligned to the Region strategic plan. Works cross-culturally to motivate and inspire teams in the development and adoption of global best practices.

  • Optimize facility management and design: Collaborative, safe and appropriately managed workspaces support the new ways of working
  • Leverage global workplace strategy recommendations, including work modes, to create country-specific plans for region. Understand country-specific challenges and opportunities, identify trends, and support implementation. Develop solutions for regional issues and work with regional senior leadership to implement changes.

  • Supports the Region Project Management Office (PMO) project portfolio by ensuring alignment and prioritization with the Region Value Improvement strategy.
  • Facilitates kaizen events and other workshops to target key enterprise improvements and to drive strategic business priorities.
  • Promotes, identifies, and supports opportunities to engage Intelligent Automation, including Robotic Process Automation throughout the Region.
  • Elevates issues and clears barriers to team progress.  Quickly resolves conflicts and involves functional management as required.
  • Contributes to the Global Enterprise Excellence (GEE) team by identifying and supporting enterprise-wide opportunities and driving enterprise-wide Value Improvement to improve Operating Income and other performance goals in alignment with the broader GEE team’s vision.


Skills Requirement :

  • Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Strong understanding of Continuous Improvement and Change Management practices with excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
  • Management of Continuous Improvement programs and projects to drive back-office and strategic level improvement.
  • Significant experience with communication and influencing at the highest levels of management across a cross-functional and global organization.
  • Complex Project and Program Management experience of at least 5 years.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required, up to approximately 30%.
  • Must be eligible to work in Penang, Malaysia.
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and lead others in continuous improvement, project management, and program management.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Optional Master’s degree (not a requirement).
