Production Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Champion effective employee relations and communication within the department, while demonstrating a flexible management style, utilizing the appropriate style for the given situation.
• Commit to providing development and growth opportunities for department personnel, fostering and recognizing continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
• Encourage employees to reach for new milestones.
• Demonstrate through his/her management style respect for the core values of BSC and a commitment to teamwork.
• Promote quality and customer satisfaction as a way of life in all department activities.
• Develop, train and plan the manpower required to support the sales forecast and ensure compliance with G.M.P.’s.
• Plans and allocates resources to ensure optimisation of customer service targets, inventory levels, procurement delivery and costs.
• Promotes quality and customer satisfaction as a way of life in all department activities.
• Use the tools and resources available to meet customer production needs based upon sales forecast.
• Brings together functional resources to meet production objectives.
• Develops, manages and monitors department budgets.
• Establish and set the priorities for production schedules.
• Responsible for coordinating the introduction of new products with Engineering, Quality Assurance and Logistics.
• Achieve budgeted targets with respect to product quality, departmental spending, labour efficiency and production yields.
• Manage the operation of the business unit to ensure compliance with established S.O.P’s and G.M.P guidelines.

Requirement

• Degree holder
• 5–10 years in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in high-volume, regulated industries
• Proven track record with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or similar methodologies.
• Leading continuous improvement projects with measurable outcomes.
• Leading teams of supervisors and MS
• Full time employee in BSC Penang
• Achieve at least “Successful” performance rating based on the latest performance review record.
• Must not be under an active Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).
• Must not have received a Written Warning within the past 12 months.
• Must not be under a company bond
• Meeting all requirements as stated in "Internal Job Application Guideline" in Penang Intranet
