Purpose Statement

Reviews and Proposes improvements to the Supply Chain Organization with regards to Demand Planning, Field Inventory Management, Customer Service and Logistics in order to align and improve communication with the International and Global Supply Chain community.

Responsibilities

  • Scope of this role includes international freight, warehousing, distribution, and trade compliance for the APAC region.
  • You will lead a team to support the implementation of the global logistic strategy in APAC.
  • You will define the regional priorities in collaboration with the country supply chain leadership teams and obtain buy-in for implementation.
  • Lead and implement continuous improvement programs to drive operations excellence around on-time, damages, logistics spend and visibility while enabling growth.
  • You will manage the relationship in APAC with our network of freight service providers, build strategic partnerships, monitor performance, and drive improvement plans.
  • As the region process owner of SAP S4/HANA for the logistics workstream, you will be the coordination point bridging global and country teams in the deployment of S4/HANA.
  • As the regional logistics technology owner and subject matter expert, you will identify areas of opportunities for automation, drive standardization, and establish business case to justify investment. This would include solutions such as AutoStore, WMS, and 3PL interface.
  • You will play an active role in the monthly financial review of logistics costs and will be part of the annual budget cycle where you will consolidate cost views, identify key drivers and opportunities.
  • Having ownership of the region’s logistics metrics, you will drive action plans to meet the organization’s goals and targets.
  • Chair regional logistics council meetings for best practice sharing and be an active member of the global logistics community.
  • Act as the point of escalation for the country logistics teams
  • Support the logistics integration for newly acquired companies
  • Coach and mentor our team of regional logistics talents.

 

Key Competencies

  • Degree or MBA holders with at least 7 years of operational logistics and leadership experience in related industries
  • Proven ability of strategic planning to set the regional priorities, identify areas of opportunities for automation, drive standardization, establish business cases and to execute the plan with the team and the stakeholders.
  • Enjoy working in a highly diverse environment and across different time zones
  • Able to thrive in a matrix global organization 
  • Strong collaborator across local, regional and global teams
  • Good working knowledge of logistics – transportation, warehouse, distribution, and trade compliance
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Good project management skills with proven track record of implementing change across the region.
  • People manager experience – must to have (incl. an experience of leading a virtual team )
  • Good communication and influencing skills
  • Good knowledge of SAP 
  • Regional experience – preferred
