About the role:

 

Leads the strategic management of the Production Unit’s (PU) capital investment, cost-improvement (VIP) portfolio, and financial operating plans (AOP & Strat Plan), ensuring robust project execution and sustained improvement of overall cost of goods sold (OCOGS) while partnering closely with Finance and cross-functional engineering teams.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

 

Works cooperatively with Finance, R&D, Process Development, Production, Supply Chain, Quality and PU Leadership to ensure alignment and success of CAPEX, VIP and AOP/Strat Plan objectives.Manages the BU’s Value Improvement Program (VIP) and project portfolio, driving identification, selection and execution of cost-improvement projects that meet or exceed annual targets.Oversees annual CAPEX planning and execution, including CERA preparation, fixed-asset capitalization timing, and presentation of key metrics in governance forums.Leads the financial scoping and feasibility validation of projects committed to the AOP; develops PPV projections with Sourcing and maintains BOM/MUV accuracy.Partners with Finance to prepare AOP and Strat Plan packages for director- and VP-level reviews; monitors BU financial health and recommends corrective actions.Facilitates weekly Project Review Board (PRB) meetings, ensuring transparent project status, risk escalation and resource alignment.Coaches BU engineers in project-management best practices; serves as mentor to develop financial acumen within the engineering community.Summarizes, analyzes and draws conclusions from complex financial and technical data; prepares concise reports for senior technical and business audiences.Ensures VIP and Adaptive systems are correctly maintained and that data integrity supports decision-making.Completes and manages complex Capital Equipment Request Authorizations (CERA’s).Leads or participates in Value Analysis (VA) and PU brainstorming sessions to generate innovative cost-reduction ideas.Selects and applies process-improvement tools (DMAIC, Lean, Six Sigma) to achieve BU cost, quality, delivery and safety goals.

 

Minimum requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of related experience in medical industry
  • Advance English level
