About the role:

 

 

The Quality Engineer III is responsible for complaint handling, post-market surveillance, and quality performance management for high-complexity products. This role provides technical leadership, while serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), mentoring junior engineers, and driving cross-functional quality and continuous improvement initiatives. 

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Lead assigned monthly complaint signal evaluations (SEF) across multiple products, providing independent review, trend analysis, and risk assessment. 
  • Approve complaint investigations and ensure compliance with corporate quality standards and regulatory requirements. 
  • Drive backlog management activities and support achievement of complaint handling performance targets. 
  • Lead NCEPs, CAPAs, complaint review board activities, and complaint-related compliance actions. 
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for high-complexity and spotlight products. 
  • Lead complex New Product Development (NPD), product transfer, and lifecycle management activities. 
  • Evaluate complaint trends and emerging quality risks, driving escalation and mitigation actions as appropriate. 
  • Lead complaint reduction, continuous improvement, and VIP development initiatives. 
  • Lead or represent the function in PMQA, divisional, and cross-functional projects. 
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to support team development. 
  • Influence cross-functional stakeholders to resolve complex quality and complaint-related issues and improve overall product performance. 

 

 

 

Required Qualifications


 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field. 
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in complaint handling, post-market surveillance or quality engineering within the medical industry. 
  • English: B2 or higher. 
  • Experience leading CAPAs, NCEPs, and compliance-related activities. 
  • Strong data analysis, technical documentation, and presentation skills. 
  • Experience managing quality performance of product portfolio. 

 

 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Formal Training on statistical and quality techniques desirable, ASQ Certified, Knowledge of Six Sigma, APQP or similar tools. 
  • Experience leading continuous improvement, Operational Excellence, Lean, Kaizen, or VIP initiatives. 
  • Experience mentoring technicians or junior engineers.
