  • Coordinates and controls Country Demand Planning and New Product Launch (NPL) Regional forecasting activities required to meet customer needs, business requirements, and service level objectives. In addition, supports, monitors and maintains finished goods inventory levels and system integrity.


• Prepare and discuss weekly operational planning with all involved departments.
• The signaling and analyzing of bottlenecks, problems and inefficiencies in the supply chain planning processes, procedures and systems.
• Proactively solve supply chain problems of varying scope and complexity.
• Pro-active analyze trends and patrons of performance gaps and opportunities.
• Quality: Demonstrate support of the BSC quality policy.  Execute processes and practices in compliance with BSC quality compliance directives.  Ensure compliance to mandatory trainings.
• Participate in the design and development DC departmental goals and maintain records to show actual performance vs. plan on a regular basis.
• Monitor KPI performance including Inventory, Forecast Accuracy and Bias, Service Level, Backorder and Scrap, perform root cause analysis and initiate corrective actions.
• Support Annual/Quarterly Finance budget processes: inventory, scrap, ship volume.
• Review DC operation activities including Units Per Hour efficiency and cycle time, and provide information for budgeting and capacity planning.
• Plan and prioritize demand orders based on backorder risk and service level requirement to fulfill customer demand.
• Match DC capacity of manpower, equipment, space expansion with forecasting volume to support customers demand requirements in time.
• Work with M-Plant Supply Planners, Global Supply Chain Planners, Regional and Country Demand Planners to develops scenarios and analytical data models to understand or report on DC capacity and order demand trends as required.
• Understand demand and supply drivers impacting DC operations and work with Supply Chain Partners and DC team to address issues and mitigate risks.
• Lead Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SI&OP) process for Penang Distribution Center (DC), ensuring a robust rolling projection for the site and a cadence of strategic engagement with key stakeholders to identify, evaluate and collaboratively address gaps and risks in DC operations.
• Analyze multiple sources of data to understand and translate capacity impacts driven by demand & supply responses and prepare and lead monthly SI&OP that clearly highlights gaps and risks.
• Act as the main point of contact for SI&OP to facilitate required actions and communications, drive cross-functional engagement and build SI&OP towards optimized site-level decision-making process.
• Proactively anticipate supply risks and effectively communicate supply availability and potential risks with Supply Chain partners and DC team along with the development of recovery plans on backlog and outages to initiate necessary actions to address any concerns that may occur.
• Ensure periodical master data maintenance throughout product life cycle while adjusting planning parameter and replenishment plan according to demand.
• Align with Global Supply Chain Planners to manage demand requirements for spare parts as required.
• Perform Inventory Management to meet both Service and Financial objectives, setting safety stock targets, analyzing on-hand inventory levels, and projecting potential stock-outs and excess & obsolescence risks.
• Review Finished Goods aging stock and work with Global Supply Chain Planner and Country Demand planner for disposition to reduce expiry scrap risks.
• Work with respective Country Demand Planner and Global Supply Chain Planner to manage transitions driven by regulatory requirement and mitigate potential scrap and service level risks.
• Support Purchasing/Buying activities as required.

• Plan and monitor DC consumable & packaging material usage vs replenishment to ensure uninterrupted supply for DC operation and communicate with DC operation and management if any delays or supply gaps are anticipated..

• Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management or Engineering.
• 5-7 years work experience in operations and/or supply chain.
• Project management experience desired but not mandatory.
• Lean / Six Sigma qualifications desired but not mandatory.
• Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to analyze business processes and workflows.
• Good communication skills.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with data analytics essential.
• A self-starter who has a desire to learn.
• Demonstrated focus on innovative thinking.
• A change advocate who thrives on working in a dynamic and changing environment.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English.
