The Frontend Developer will play a key role in building and optimizing a secure, high-performance web-based imaging application for the healthcare domain. The solution enables real-time mirroring of a PC-based imaging platform onto iPad and browser interfaces via Wi-Fi. The role involves working with ReactJS, TypeScript, and Cornerstone.js for DICOM visualization and includes collaboration with backend, QA, DevOps, and product teams to deliver a robust, regulatory-compliant system.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize responsive web applications using ReactJS and TypeScript.
  • Integrate and customize Cornerstone.js for DICOM image visualization and manipulation, including TEE and 3D imaging.
  • Implement secure client-side communication handling and integrate with mTLS-enabled backend services.
  • Implement real-time UI synchronization to mirror desktop application interfaces using WebSocket or similar streaming protocols.
  • Ensure performance optimization for high-resolution medical image rendering on iPad and desktop browsers using Canvas and WebGL.
  • Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility with a focus on responsive and touch-friendly UI design.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate RESTful and streaming APIs for imaging and control data.
  • Support QA and DevOps teams in CI/CD, automated testing, and release management.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning sessions.
  • Maintain clear documentation and adhere to industry best practices and internal quality standards.

 

Role Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in frontend development with strong proficiency in ReactJS and TypeScript.
  • Experience with Cornerstone.js or similar imaging frameworks for DICOM visualization.
  • Proficiency in real-time data handling and UI synchronization using WebSockets or similar technologies.
  • Strong understanding of frontend security practices, HTTPS, and secure data exchange principles.
  • Experience optimizing web performance for iPad and browser environments using WebGL, Canvas, or similar.
  • Familiarity with agile development, QA, and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards such as HIPAA preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, collaboration mindset, and attention to detail.
