The software test engineer III will join a highly effective product quality team in Waltham, working side-by-side with developers in an Agile environment, developing test cases for a wide range of software components, including user interface, algorithms, and back-end data handling. The position will include writing or updating test cases, manual execution of tests, and interacting with a variety of electronic equipment in the lab. The position will also require the candidate to operate in leadership roles including mentoring junior engineers/new hires and owning testing responsibilities in support of new feature development. Besides manual testing, the candidate would be involved in test automation requiring coding skills in Python or other languages in Linux environment. Tools include Jira, Jama, Jenkins, and Squish.

Your Responsibilities 

• Design, develop and execute test cases to ensure product quality.
• Manual execution of tests or automated test scripts.
• Ensure tests follow written procedures.
• Document test results and reports.
• Diagnose problems and report bugs.
• Share knowledge with team members.
• Assist in test strategy and data setup.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Master’s with 7+ years experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Medical device testing experience (Must )
• Automation under Linux/Unix.
• Programming in Python/C/C++.
• Detail oriented documentation.
• Agile experience.
• ISO/FDA compliance exposure.
