Position Overview:
As a Senior Systems Verification Engineer, you will lead the verification of complex connected health systems, mobile platforms, and implantable devices. You will drive test strategy, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust system integration and compliance with regulatory standards, including ISO 13485 (Medical Devices) and ISO 14971 (Risk Management). Your expertise in system verification, test automation, BLE protocol, and mobile testing will be critical in delivering high-quality medical and health technology products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive system verification strategies, plans, and objectives for Class-III medical device projects, mobile platforms, and BLE-enabled devices.
- Architect and develop advanced automated/semi-automated end-to-end verification tests for medical products/systems, including mobile applications, cloud platforms, and implantable devices.
- Oversee and guide system integration testing scenarios based on system architecture and design.
- Mentor and provide technical leadership to verification engineers, conducting peer reviews and fostering best practices in test development and automation.
- Analyse system and cloud platform requirements for testability, completeness, and consistency; ensure requirement-test traceability and coverage.
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software teams to resolve complex technical issues, including BLE protocol and performance bottlenecks.
- Conduct root cause analysis of system failures and implement corrective actions.
- Support regulatory submissions by preparing and reviewing specifications, test plans, and reports.
- Ensure all verification and validation activities comply with ISO 13485 (Medical Devices) and ISO 14971 (Risk Management) standards.
- Drive innovation in test automation frameworks, tools, and libraries (Appium, Python, Selenium, etc.).
- Stay current with advancements in medical products/systems, test automation, and verification methodologies, champion adoption of new technologies and processes.
- Ensure high standards of quality and compliance in a regulated environment (medical device or similar).
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering, software development, and verification, with significant exposure to medical devices or regulated environments.
- Experience in test automation using Appium, Python, Selenium, API Automation and related tools.
- Deep knowledge of medical products/systems, performance testing, and troubleshooting.
- Strong experience with mobile application testing (Android/iOS), cloud technologies (AWS), and system integration.
- Proficiency in requirements analysis, configuration management, and issue tracking systems (Jira, Git, etc.).
- Experience with lab equipment: Oscilloscopes, DVM, BLE Sniffer & Real-Time Spectrum Analyser .
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead teams, mentor engineers, and collaborate across disciplines.
- Experience supporting regulatory submissions and working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced scripting and programming skills (Python, PHP, etc.).
- Familiarity with Figma, Jenkins, and other development tools.
- Experience in developing and maintaining test automation frameworks.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure.
