Training and Development Specialist II

 

About the Role:
 

The Training and Development Specialist II at Boston Scientific will interface with Managers, Supervisors, Trainers and other personnel to ensure that the effectiveness and integrity of Boston Scientific training processes are of the highest quality. This is accomplished through activities in tracking the completion of training, revising existing training programs, monitoring on the job training and establishing and maintaining training records in compliance with regulatory and certification requirements.

 

Your Responsibilities Include:
 

  • Deliver training and development programs and services including but not limited to the following tasks: Assist in the design and development of training programs.  Create training materials, research, and recommend training resources. Assist in the evaluation and optimization of training systems and procedures. Identify and analyze training and development needs of the entire organization. Cultivate strong business partnerships and interact within the organization.
  • Coordinate and deliver Orientation Training to new hires as well as refresher training to existing staff. Measure and continually improve effectiveness of training and development initiatives. Work closely with Business Process Leads and managers on the delivery and implementation of process changes to the team.
  • Develop, implement, and lead Training Coordinator Project. Supervise, mentor, and coach Training Coordinators. Measure the effectiveness of Training Coordinators.  
  • Provides direction and support for the Training Record System (TRS) while maintaining integrity of the system. Complete TRS Metrics and Reporting for Compliance.
  • Windchill & Manhattan Training Approver.
  • Manage & measure success of the LMS Sustain Program.
  • Conduct and assist with training needs assessments.
  • Regulatory: Manages in order to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory/legal requirements. This may consist of, but is not necessarily to limited to, Environmental, Health and Safety including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), ISO 14001, MA Dept of Transportation, (DOT), Quality System Regulations (FDA), ISO 13485, MDD, PAL, CMDCAS, KFDA, other country specific Regulations as applicable.



What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Training and Development or Business Administration 
  • 3-5 years of Human Resources, Training and Development related work experience to include create and deliver training materials and identifying/analyzing training and development data
  • Experience working in a regulatory industry
  • Proficiency and experience working with Microsoft Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
