About the role:
The Quality Manager will manage the Quality Engineering and Inspection Teams within the Quincy production area to establish and ensure a work environment of continuous improvement that supports BSC's Quality policies and systems. They will be responsible to provide vision and leadership for strategic projects and maintaining the quality system and regulatory requirements within the production area and will direct the management of the staff and lead special quality projects as assigned by the Quality Director. They will apply quality principles to support an effective overall compliant unit.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Manages production unit quality staff, including workforce planning, recruitment, skill and performance assessment, quality engineering and inspection, workload distribution, training compliance and documentation, professional development, issue resolution and corrective action. Advises and coaches supervisors, group leaders, and staff on technical and operational issues.
- Manages from a quality perspective all activities as it relates to Quincy production Final-Pack (Kitting & Postponement), Localization, Repackaging and Post-Production Qualification activities. Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains quality standards for processing materials into partially finished or finished material or product. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment to ensure a compliant production area.
- Interface with other members of Management with respect to regulatory compliance initiatives, on-going compliance with all procedures and standards, as well as implementing continuous improvements initiatives.
- Work collaboratively across functions, regions and business units to implement project strategies and tactical plans to deliver results.
- Ensures the Quality system is compliant to external standards and acts as the Subject Matter Expert in the production area inclusive of during audits.
- Designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and ensures equipment is qualified; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of, and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications
- Establishes operating policies and procedures that affect Team performance. Interprets, executes, and recommends modifications to Team organizational policies. Contributes to the development and administration of budgets, schedules, and performance standards. Manages Team or cross-team projects. Conducts briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives.
- Establishes sound cross-functional team relationships.
- Participates in modification of the Quality organizational structure and collaborates in the development of overall Quality objectives and long-range goals.
- Performs other responsibilities as required.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- 6+ years relevant production/manufacturing experience within medical device
- 2+ years experience leading or mentoring people
- Experienced in manufacturing risk management and statistical analysis
- Attention to detail with an ability to communicate to all levels of organization.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in related field

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
