About the role
The prime focus of the MFG Technician is to provide technical support to the Kitting / Stentstore production lines and provide preventative/corrective maintenance to the Quincy Site. The MFG Technician is also responsible for continuous improvement projects that increase quality, reduce cost, and shorten cycle time. Area of work involves manufacturing processes with interaction between production, engineering, facilities, and quality groups in resolving problems encountered on the production floor.
 
Your Responsibilities include:

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled Equipment Preventative maintenance.
  • Prioritize, troubleshoot and repair production and non-production equipment.
  • Drive the troubleshooting and corrective action effort for equipment issues in designated area.
  • Coordinate with outside service providers as needed.  Establishing service agreement for maintenance activities.  Ensure PM/CM activities completed and documented as required and on schedule. 
  • Work with Engineers to validate and release Equipment and new processes.  Generating, executing and release of validation documentation in Windchill.  
  • Review and update Preventative Maintenance Specifications as needed, based on observation and historical data to proactively resolve equipment issues.
  • Identify, procure and maintain equipment spare parts inventory.
  • Maintain Equipment Files within Computerized Maintenance Management System, following site and global procedures as necessary. 
  • Identify additional or new vendors to identify and acquire necessary suppliers, materials, equipment and tools for continues improvement. 
  • Other tasks as directed by the Production Manager or Quincy Site Leadership.
     

What we're looking for:
Minimum requirements:

  • 3 years with Associates degree or an equiovalent combination of education/work experience
  • Knowledge and experience on mechanical and computer interface equipment
  • Experience working with medical device or pharmaceutical companies preferred

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Preferred Two-year Technical Degree or equivalent
  • 5-7 years equipment maintenance experience.  Certification in lieu of experience considered
  • Knowledge of quality system and FDA regulation preferred
