About this role:

Develop and execute a comprehensive evidence generation strategy for driving value based healthcare in Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA) markets across the Endoscopy portfolio. Responsible for EMEA wide value strategies that address the rapidly changing economic needs of our customers and enable BSC Endoscopy to strengthen our market leading position, in the evolving healthcare landscape. 

Your responsibilities will include:
 

EMEA Evidence Generation

  • Create and implement strategic evidence generation strategy for driving value based healthcare in EMEA markets across the Endoscopy portfolio.
     
    • Work with regional stakeholders (HEMA, Marketing, Med Affairs and Global Economic Value Marketing Team) to identify Value proposition per therapy/product and supporting data needed
    • Drive a cost-efficient evidence generation plan that complements ongoing BSC clinical studies with other initiatives such as society registries, investigator sponsored research and research collaborations with academic institutions.
    • Collaborate with key opinion leaders (KOLs) who can provide technical and clinical insight with real-world applications of Boston Scientific products for identifying areas of research and data requirements for therapy adoption.
       
  • Initiate Research Collaborations with academic institutions, for example by means of Restricted Research Grants
     
  • Assist in activities related to Investigator Sponsored Research and Grant requests as appropriate and required. Represent the EMEA region on the Endoscopy divisional Grant Committee.
     
  • Explore contract research and other objective means of gathering value proof points (to include white papers/published research with physicians)
     
  • Drive external clinical and economic data dissemination in EMEA through publications and by driving content on our EDUCARE and InTouch platforms.
     
  • Maintain close collaborative connection to divisional “upstream” Clinical Research and R&D department in Marlborough regarding developments in clinical data, commercial initiatives, and product updates or availability to enable leveraging of the information within the EMEA region.

EMEA value proposition for our technologies
 

  • Identify and work with appropriate global stakeholders to ensure Voice of the region in global evidence plan. Participate in divisional value workshops for all products in the PDP process; ensure value strategy for EMEA is included.
     
  • Work with cross functional teams to write EMEA country specific Value Analysis Briefs for products, procedures and product families;
     
  • Co-develop the value prop with the Global EVM team to ensure that the voice of the EU is appropriately reflected. Serve as the EMEA subject matter expert for Value Proposition, guiding the EMEA teams through development of a clinical and economic value proposition that will resonate with customers
     
  • Work with external health systems to evaluate how Boston Scientific Endoscopy products may aid in in beneficial outcomes through innovative offerings such as outcomes based risk sharing projects and data collection on in-hospital processes (time and motion and micro costing studies)
  • Train the marketing organization, in partnership with HEMA, on healthcare reform and value trends in the marketplace
     
  • Understand competitive value based healthcare strategies and benchmark our progress against competitive efforts. Stay appraised of Pan European and local country Guidelines on Evidence Based Treatment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master’s degree preferred
  • 6+ years of related experience
  • Experience building relationships with physicians who are Key Opinion Leaders or clinical investigators.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters in a clinical or scientific field
  • Ability to manage simultaneous priorities, changing deadlines, and limited resources
  • Strategic skills and experience developing product-level business/strategic plans
  • High sense of urgency and commitment to execution
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English and at least one other major European language
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and data
  • Interpersonal skills to enable cross-functional collaboration in a matrix and customer relationship development
  • Ability to perform under minimal supervision.
  • Critical Skillsets: Strategic thinking and planning; project management; clinically and technically astute, very comfortable presenting and discussing clinical and economic data with Key Opinion Leaders.
