Purpose

Core objective of this role is to support the Divisional Manager in achieving the goals and objectives of the Division they represent.  This role can be based in Regina or Saskatoon.

 

Requirements

  • Education- Bachelor degree or greater
  •  2-5 years successful sales experience – healthcare, pharmaceutical, software, consumer products.  Preferably a background in short sales cycle industries where direct selling to professionals is required and compensation is based upon “pay for performance”
  • Solid business and financial understanding
  • Demonstrate an ability to absorb technical knowledge quickly and disseminate appropriately to all levels of healthcare professionals
  • Excellent product knowledge and selling skills
  • Good understanding of hospital environment is a plus
  • Displays a consistent and positive attitude
  • Maintains corporate image at all times
  • Demonstrates a  positive attitude toward team work

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop as professional sales rep by acquiring working knowledge and selling techniques fundamentals. Able to tackle routine issues, limited knowledge in medical device industry (BSC and competitors).
  • Visit customers and/or potential customers of Boston Scientific on a regular and planned basis to promote products and services to achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly sales targets, as agreed with the Manager.
  • Manage existing and acquire new customers in the assigned territory under close supervision & guidance of the Manager.
  • Follow instructions of Manager in order to plan and develop the market for our existing and new products according with divisional goals and objectives, through execution, while optimize available tools (consignment, etc).
  • Provide ongoing technical training and support to customers directly in the cathlabs
  • Begin establishing business relationships with hospital management, purchasing department and hospital staff.
  • Attend meetings, conferences and exhibitions as required to promote Boston Scientific products and services.
  • Analyze and report to the Manager and/or others (monthly & year basis) the market and business feedback by using all available support tools
  • To represent Boston Scientific values and integrity.
  • Upon request may participate in project teams.
