EP Clinical Manager - Reno, NV

About the role:
Responsible for the development and supervision of EP clinical team members within assigned geography.  Actively participates in the EP Clinical Specialist hiring process.  Coordinates regional EP clinical coverage needs while promoting company products through clinical education and support of current and potential customers and patients.
 
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for launching new system placements which include but are not limited to hardware, catheters and software.
  • Assess and identify training needs and gaps and provide coaching and development for direct reports.  Conducts final assessment for certification of new mapping specialists.
  • Resolves scheduling conflicts that require resources outside the region/area. Provides clinical support and education to local Ep Clinicals as needed by supporting mapping procedures, basic troubleshooting, and clinical trials. 
  • Launching new technologies and increasing efficiencies of current customers by monitoring and improving mapping utilization and outcomes. 
  • Collaborates with EP Business Development Manager to ensure clinical team goals, objectives and support are aligned with the regional sales strategy.
  • Communicates regularly with direct reports, EP Business Development Manager, EP Sales Reps, Rhythm Regional Managers, peers,  and Area Sales Director regarding clinical activities and changes in the marketplace.  Fosters collaboration and best practice sharing at a national level.
  • Oversees travel expenses for Mapping team members including the timely review and approval of expense reports.
  • Responsible for carrying out company policies with sincerity and integrity.  Ensures mapping team compliance with company policies, procedures, and administrative responsibilities.
  • Responds to customer needs related to products and services by developing creative and feasible solutions or working with other related personnel (e.g., EP Business Development Managers, EP Sales Reps, Clinical Research, Marketing, Technical Support, etc.) to develop optimal solutions.
  • Provides ongoing training and development of EP clinical team members and facilitates and manages company-sponsored training and events.
  • Performs progressive reviews during regular field visits and formally during corporate mid-year and annual performance review process.
  • Assures that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained in order to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy.
  • Establishes and promotes a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System.
  • May lead a group or team of employees in the achievement of organizational goals.  Guide, coach, direct, and develop direct reports, and if applicable, drive those practices throughout their organization.
  • Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.
  • May direct and control the activities and budget of one or more functional areas, divisions, product groups, projects/programs and/or operations.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. federal/country and regulatory requirements).
     

What we're looking for in you: 

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 7 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers (including all BSC divisions).
     

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Knowledge of local EP customer base preferred.
  • EP certification and demonstrated aptitude in Electrophysiology therapy knowledge for implants and device support.
  • Demonstrated leadership/credibility within local team.
  • Ability to manage conflict effectively and effect change.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management experience.
  • Must be energetic, organized, determined and goal-oriented.

The anticipated annualized base amount or range for this full time position will be $120,000, plus variable compensation governed by Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives) as well as the value of core and optional benefits offered at BSC, which can be reviewed at www.bscbenefitsconnect.com. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs.
