Field Clinical Specialist, CRM - KSA
About the Role
- The Field Clinical Specialist (FCS) will provide expert clinical, product, and technical support, as well as training, to physicians, technicians, and sales representatives on the safe and effective use of the Boston Scientific Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) portfolio, including FARAPULSE™ equipment within our Electrophysiology (EP) portfolio.
- In this role, you will spend approximately 60% of your time providing clinical case support by assisting during procedures, and 40% supporting commercial activities. All activities are expected to be performed in a manner that meets and exceeds established business objectives.
- This is a permanent, hybrid position, combining field-based and office-based work. The role covers the Riyadh region and requires weekly travel (once or twice per week) to support customers within the territory.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Serves as primary resource for clinical support in the areas of case coverage, basic troubleshooting, system, and software development.
- Educates customers and internal Boston Scientific employees on the merits and proper clinical usage of the CRM portfolio and Farapulse device by giving presentations and demonstrations using a wide variety of formats and platforms (e.g., slides, transparencies, manuals) to keep all abreast of the latest product and technology developments.
- Attends cases in labs of hospital accounts for case support and development efforts across the relevant portfolios.
- Providing initial and continuous, as needed, training and feedback for development team and sales representatives (as appropriate), development process, products and features, and procedures involving those products and features.
- Meets with existing and potential clients (e.g., physicians, physician office groups at hospitals) by traveling (in an automobile or airplane) to identify their clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care and to discuss and demonstrate how company products can help them to achieve their goals.
- Develops relationships with hospital personnel (e.g., through casual conversation, meetings, participation in conferences) to make new contacts in other departments within hospitals and to identify key decision makers to facilitate future sales.
- Responds to customer needs and complaints regarding products and service by developing creative and feasible solutions or working with other related personnel (e.g., sales, clinical research, marketing, technical support) to develop optimal solutions.
- In this role, you will be responsible for the Riyadh area, and may on occasion be required to support colleagues in neighboring regions.
- This hybrid role requires frequent weekly travel (up to five days per week based on customer needs), and presence in the Riyadh office when not visiting clients.
What are we looking for in you:
- Successfully completed studies within Biomedical Sciences (or a similar subject area), preferably within cardiac rhythm management or electrophysiology.
- Professional industry experience in a similar role (such as a Technician, Sales Representative or Nursing within the cardiovascular field) is beneficial, however, not a requirement.
- Strong communication skills.
- Can understand and communicate complex technical and clinical details.
- Professional working proficiency language skills in both Arabic and English.
- Can rapidly adapt to a very dynamic marketplace.
- Strong team player, collaborative, ability to build relationships and work cross-functionally.
- Self-motivated and able to influence others.
- Flexible, adaptable but focused and persistent.
- Willing and can travel extensively as required by workload.
- Holder of an eligible driver’s license for operating a vehicle as required for the role.
