The Internal Control Analyst will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity and operational efficiency by performing internal control tests, managing the risk management process, following up on remediation plans, and monitoring and measuring the organization's resources, policies, and procedures. The role involves helping to identify the risks that a business faces and developing preventive strategies.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Internal Controls and SOX:

- Assist in creating, developing, and implementing internal controls and ensuring their adequacy to comply with the Sarbanes-Oxley Law (SOX).

- Conduct periodic risk assessments to identify control weaknesses and recommend improvements.

- Test key controls, ensuring the adequacy of the implemented controls.

- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

- Promote a culture of controls and risk management, fostering an approach focused on achieving the Company's objectives.

- Formalize control tests by documenting the condition of the control (inquiry, evidence, reperformance), records of validations, and their results. Provide a final opinion on the control, supporting the classification as "effective" or "not effective.

- Actively participate in the implementation, monitoring, and periodic testing of control effectiveness to mitigate risks and meet legal requirements applicable to the company.

- Communicate work results through timely, consistent, and assertive reports.

- Support the Company in continuously evolving the level of maturity of the internal control environment.

- Provide support to LATAM countries regarding Internal Controls, when needed.

 

 

 

Training and Awareness:

- Conduct training sessions to enhance awareness of internal control policies and procedures.

- Provide guidance to department heads and staff on best practices for maintaining strong internal controls.

 

Audit Support:

- Support internal audit activities.

- Serve as a key liaison during internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.

- Manage the resolution of audit findings and implement corrective actions.

 

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related areas.

- At least 2 years of experience in internal controls, external/internal audit or a related field.

- Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk management, and compliance.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office;

- Ability to draw data-driven business insights.

- Analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Advanced English proficiency.

- Ability to analyze complex processes and identify areas for automation.

- Proficiency with automation tools such as Power Automate, RPA, VBA, etc.
