Digital Solutions Delivery Expert, Healthcare Solutions  


Hospitals around the world are facing significant challenges. They are feeling pressure to improve quality of care and increase accessibility while optimizing costs and care delivery. They are looking for partners to help them address their clinical, operational, and financial challenges. To meet their needs Boston Scientific introduced the Healthcare Solutions & Partnership team to develop new capabilities and a business strategy that drives long-term profitable partnerships. 

The purpose of the Healthcare Solutions & Partnerships (HS&P) team is to help establish Boston Scientific as a leading Healthcare Solutions provider by engaging in long-term partnerships with customers, providing them with products, services, and solutions that are differentiated and tailored to their needs. 


Background to the role 


This role will have a leading position in developing, testing, and implementing (new) digital solutions from the Boston Scientific ADVANTICS portfolio with our customers. 

As part of the further evolution of our solutions organization, digital healthcare solutions are a key cornerstone. The Digital Solutions Expert will be at the forefront of creating, developing, and launching new digital solutions products for Boston Scientific. In collaboration with our EMEA Solutions Development team, this role will work hands-on with customers and local management to create and implement the digital solutions roadmap. In parallel, together with our cluster team of process and change management consultants, this role will drive the execution of (digital) solution programs in the region at customer sites. 


The role will report to the Solutions Delivery Leader for Northern Europe and is expected to engage with hospitals across France, UK, Ireland, Belgium and the Nordics 


Your Responsibilities will include: 



Digital Solution Project Execution and development 


• Project lead to develop, direct and execute plans to test digital solutions/applications hand-in-hand with our process consultants at customer sites (hospitals/procurement groups) 

• Lead and facilitate discussions with technical (IT) stakeholders at customer sites 

• Partner closely with the EMEA Solution development managers to review the progress of test projects against design criteria and standards; recommend appropriate revisions. 

• Participate in the planning, execution, and finalization of projects according to strict deadlines, within budget while designing organized and repeatable procedures 

• Compile and analyze operational, test, and research data to establish technical specifications designed or modified Solutions/Processes. 

• Partner with EMEA Solution development managers and Education & Clinical Manager to design and deliver cross regional training of digital solutions tested 

• Provide recommendations and market intelligence on third-party digital solutions/applications that may be relevant for incorporation into the BSC solutions portfolio 

• Lead on the agile development of rapid prototype, proof-of-concept solutions/applications   

• Provide outstanding customer experience to support on-going collaboration and references. 


Collaboration and Execution: 


• Work with Cluster Solutions delivery leader and Business Unit Director on capability building of solutions delivery skills in cluster and understanding of new/early digital solutions as needed. 

• During design phase of digital solutions, provide consultative recommendations for MVP test and specifications and tool kit (e.g. training toolkit). 

• Execute tests for new digital solutions within cluster, gather learnings and best practices and solution delivery costs to ensure compliance to solution business case. 

• Act as SME support in ramp up phase to (clinical) field and consultant delivery team and local counterpart to local (IT) stakeholders in pilot accounts. 

• Productize digital tools and methodologies which are scalable and replicable across other projects, building the delivery playbook for new solutions developed 

• Supports the EMEA Solutions development manager in developing content for offering evidence and track record with input on project deliverables and outcomes 

• Track and report on key project metrics, aligned with overall goals & objectives of solution implemented 


What are we looking for in you? 



• Minimum 6 years professional experience including IT project management preferably in a healthcare context. 

• Relevant Bachelor’s degree, or MSc (preferred), in a technical or clinical subject 

• Demonstrated experience in hospital environment. Experience in supporting patient, clinical and other hospital teams to adapt to new digital systems 

• Strong technical IT systems integration experience: EMR and IT project management preferred 

• Understanding of northern European healthcare market environment 

• Change oriented, able to operate in an area of uncertainty and with changing/limited resources. 

• Exceptional customer focus, strong ability to adapt, solution oriented 

• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, simplify complexity 

• Project Management capabilities: Prince II, agile or lean six sigma certification preferred 

• Excellent Collaboration skills and team player 

• Rigorous, strong execution mind-set, structured and organized 

• Motivated to work in a highly dynamic environment where innovation and change are key. 

• Proven experience of successfully working within cross border or virtual teams 

• Fluency in English and French 

• Willing and able to travel 50% +
