About the role:

Boston Scientific's Group Manager, Field Marketing, is responsible for leading a team with a mission to create awareness and educate potential patients and healthcare providers on Urology therapies and procedures within our erectile restoration franchise within the assigned geography. In this role, the GM FM will coach and develop the DTP FMMs, while simultaneously meeting key position objectives. The position works closely with sales and marketing leadership, as well as cross-functional partners to meet goals and objectives.

 Your responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for providing continuous tools and education to team members to ensure up-to-date industry, clinical, compliance guidelines, and product knowledge.
  • Ensures field marketers drive therapy awareness through education to fill the patient funnel within assigned geographies
  • Monitors field marketing performance on an ongoing basis, initiating corrective actions, and preparing reports, summaries, analysis, and documentation on all aspects of assigned geography.
  • Develops and executes marketing strategies and activities.
  • Plans and controls expenses to ensure marketing objectives are met within budget.
  • Performs regular business review 1:1s with team members to assure continual development and that objectives are being met.
  • Ensure adherence to compliance policies related to medical education and market awareness to maintain regulatory standards and mitigate risks. Additionally, conduct thorough inspections of team activities to verify compliance and provide guidance for corrective actions when necessary
  • Spend time in the field with team members to support their professional development needs and to maintain and develop strong relationships and understanding with customers.
  • Responsible for recruiting, coaching, and developing organizational talent. Fosters a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.  
  • Attend and participate in customer, company, and industry-sponsored forums and courses.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key BSC functional areas including but not limited to – sales operations, marketing, finance, corporate programs.
  • Support field marketing team members in their efforts to Increase referring physician and patient awareness of disease states and treatment options.
  • Work with field marketing team members to identify unique local market opportunities to increase therapy and product awareness, including PR, patient advocacy, or hospital marketing partnerships.
  • Together with their team, address local market issues that limit patient access to trained implanters.
  • Propose and share best practices with implanters and customers that enable improved efficiency, patient care, and practice flow.
  • Provide clinical case/OR support (10-15%).

 

 

Required qualifications:

  • BA or BS
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in sales, account management, advertising/marketing, or promotions
  • Highly motivated, high-impact individuals with strong technical, analytical and leadership competencies to work effectively with marketing and sales members  
  • Highly detailed oriented and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs (Excel)
  • Must have demonstrated business partnering skills
  • Creative outside-the-box thinker, persistent and analytical 
  • Self-driven and able to work independently
  • 75% travel required

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • MBA
  • At least 2 years of team leadership strongly
  • Healthcare, Pharma, and medical device experience
  • Experience with sales and marketing databases

The anticipated annualized base amount or range for this full time position will be $150,000 to $225,000, plus variable compensation governed by the Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives) as well as the value of core and optional benefits offered at BSC, which can be reviewed at www.bscbenefitsconnect.com. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs.
