Sr. Manager, Strategic Partnerships & Customer Relations - Vertiflex
Boston Scientific Neuromodulation

Location: open - 80% travel

 

About the role:

The Vertiflex Procedure is redefining the treatment of Lumbar Spinal Stenosis (LSS) for patients. It provides patients with a clinically proven, minimally invasive solution that is designed to deliver long-term relief from the leg and back pain associated with LSS. This level-one evidence-based procedure is supported by data from patients who reported successful outcomes up to five years.    

 

The Senior Manager of Strategic Partnerships and Customer Relations will be responsible for working closely with internal functions to regularly drive an appropriate marketplace strategy and work closely with key customers (accounts, practitioners, and societies) as a liaison to the Neuromodulation division. 

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Accountable for developing and maintaining physician engagement and all networks
  • Prioritize and execute strategy between marketing teams, sales, and education.  Be the defined point of contact for all key customers.  Develop and execute shared strategy with internal teams and field team
  • Develop a strategy for physicians to move along the path to quality outcomes and influence physicians to explore emerging outcome-based arrangements.
  • Accountable for physician engagement and improvement opportunities.
  • Leverage marketing, education and clinical resources to partner with customer to drive patient-focused, superior outcomes with Vertiflex in the marketplace
  • Leverage resources and champion a collaborative and integrated work environment
  • Provide leadership to national physician engagement, marketing, education, and sales teams 
  • Incorporate physician feedback and practice perspective into strategy planning, development and operations; enhance the physician experience with Vertiflex
  • Host a minimum of two in-person key customer advisory meetings annually; manage budget, messaging, cross-functional agenda, and communication for internal teams
  • Develop and execute regular cadence of corporate touch programs, including messaging, strategy, and execution of executive roadshows
  • Develop process and manage execution of Valencia executive visits
  • Develop process to identify, partner and manage relationships with future KOLs
  • Development and cadence of monthly report outs on physician KOL engagement activity, understanding trends and assessing any competitive threats
  • Take ownership of specific customer issues/concerns and follow problems through resolution
  • Lead, organize and develop train-the-trainer programs for new KOL’s partnering with professional education and marketing


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required; MBA degree preferred
  • 10+ Years of experience working directly with Pain and/or Spine clinicians in the minimally invasive space
  • Experience developing key customer relations and outcomes-focused field execution strategies
  • Strategic, corporate-wide and integrated thinking; fosters a collaborative culture among cross-functional business partners to drive business results
  • Demonstrated experience leading large and small teams, setting vision and goals, aligning talent, developing teams and associates, leading change and leading positively
  • Demonstrated success driving results and executing strategy effectively
  • Experience analyzing the financial viability of engagement strategies
  • Comprehensive knowledge key focus areas for coordinated execution between internal departments and clinicians
  • Experience identifying and recruiting physicians to ensure national alignment with planned sales process execution, orienting physicians and managing relationships, and driving improvement in patient outcomes via education, communication and market development
  • Prior operational leadership experience; demonstrated the ability to partner across functions to create and deploy win/win strategies
