About the role

 

This role is responsible for the development & adoption of the assigned therapies in an assigned market. This position will design and execute a therapy awareness plan that is in alignment with the strategic priorities of Boston Scientific and the selected division. This role is responsible for ensuring the assigned territory meets or exceeds sales objectives.

 

Your responsibilities will include

 

  • Identify key accounts, healthcare professionals, and business issues that have the greatest effect on use of company products by meeting with existing and potential customers.  Classify their clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care.  Determine where our therapies can assist in providing a comprehensive healthcare solution.
  • Identify key referral networks for the assigned therapy - from Electrophysiologists and Interventional Cardiologists to Primary Care Physicians. Develop and enhance these relationships through therapy awareness activities, routine customer visits, product demonstrations, educational programs, procedural observation, trade show participation, and problem resolution.
  • Develop relationships with administrative hospital personnel (e.g. casual conversation, meetings, participation in conferences) to gain knowledge on unique hospital business dynamics and to identify key decision makers.
  • Educate physicians and AHPs on the merits and proper clinical usage of company products by giving presentations and demonstrations.
  • Work closely with the Sales Management team in evaluating business conditions.   Identify creative sources of information that can help inform our strategic business plans.  Prepare and submit reports to Sales Management by analyzing and compiling data, projections, and other relevant information.

 

What we are looking for in you

 

Required qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to assist surgeons in the hospital room (OR) giving technical support as part of the healthcare team and handling instruments and/or medical devices during the medical procedure. Aseptic Technique Certification is considered a plus.
  • Proven sales experience in healthcare accounts management and/or distributors. Multi-country experience along Central America is desired.
  • At least 4 years of experience conducting a full-cycle medical devices sales (prospecting, scheduling and attending meetings, product demonstrations, clinical in services, closing and follow-up). Works with physicians, therapists and other clinicians to educate and increase therapies awareness on Boston Scientific products and other services offered
  • At least 5 years of experience in business management, clinical or medical professional education in the medical industry or similar 
  • Advanced English Language (at least B2+ level)
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Imaging or similar.

 

Preferred qualifications

  • Master’s degree is considered a plus
  • A US Visa and valid passport
