This is a great time to join Boston Scientific and make a difference in patients' lives, everyday.  We are 23,000 colleagues strong, with an impressive portfolio of 13,000 products.  At our Fremont plant we manufacture products for 5 different Boston Scientific divisions including exciting products such as intravascular ultrasound systems and electrophysiology systems for diagnosing and treating cardiac arrhythmias. Our team in Fremont is growing as we continually invest in R&D for these businesses and are bringing new products to market.

 

Your responsibilities
This Senior Quality Engineer will provide quality support for the Global Technical Service organization. Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems of diverse scope and complexity where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises authority and judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Has a broad knowledge of a variety of alternatives and their impact on the business unit. Evaluates the adequacy and compliance of systems, operations, and practices against regulations as well as company documentation. 


•    Develop and implement quality plans, to support service integration activities.  Analyze and document risk mitigations to support integration project timelines.  
•    Investigate and execute Correction and Corrective Actions to improve the global service performance
•    Drive systemic process improvements with a focus on a global organization
•    Identify and drive Value Improvement Projects
•    Provide assistance to the service operations organization with process changes 
 

What we are looking for

Basic Qualifications: 
•    Bachelor’s degree
•    5-10 years of related work experience including relevant experience in the medical device industry
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
 

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Familiarity and experience in the following areas preferred:
•    Bachelor’s or higher degree in a technical field
•    Working knowledge of ISO13485 and 21CFR820 regulations  
•    ASQ Certification in Six-Sigma Green Belt and/or Quality disciplines

 

WORKING CONDITIONS
•    This job may entail occasional travel upon request (primarily domestic, but some international)
